Missed a Day

 Hello Friends!

Didn't post yesterday because I had a terrible headache all afternoon and wound up going to bed early.

I had walked to the park several times because one of my favorite kitties there wasn't feeling well and he couldn't eat the hard food I usually carry with me, so I went home to get canned food and a little antibiotic.  Then went back another time because I had forgotten the wet cloth that I wanted to clean his face with.
I went back today with more soft food and to spend some time with him.  Hoping that he can get over whatever is wrong if I give him extra food and attention.
I wish there was more concern for the welfare of all these homeless kitties, many of which have been abandoned by irresponsible pet owners.
Was working on something most of this evening and now it's already bedtime so will share more tomorrow

Have a good Sunday.

Poor baby. I hope he will be okay and that the antibiotics help. It breaks my heart to think of those animals on the streets. Thank goodness, they have people like you who look out for them but it's an overwhelming job with so many to care for. I wish people would wake up to the problems they cause especially when it involves animals' lives.

Sorry to hear you had a headache, Tammy. The bad ones can be quite debilitating. x

Kitty is quite handsome.

They must wonder what happened to make them lose their homes. I know animals don't think like we do, but surely they notice the difference in a life of comfort and one on the streets.

I'm always amazed our little guy made it on the streets when he was tossed into the swamp. Our neighborhood ferals were mean.

You are a kitty angel to get soft food and medicine for this cat. I admire you very much. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I hope your headache is gone now Tammy. I don't know how you do it with the cats. We were watching a movie this afternoon and a man just threatened to kill a dog and I turned it off. He didn't actually do anything to it while we were watching, but I couldn't stand even the thought of it. My heart hurts for the poor abandoned animals aroumd you. They don't understand, especially if they had a real home before. It's just plain heartless. Sorry about my rant. Thank you for your caring heart.
Blessings,
Betsy

Awww, poor kitty. So glad you are caring for him. It breaks my heart when I see so many homeless animals roaming around. We are building our house this coming year out in the farm we own, and I told my husband that if any cats adopt us, they're staying even if as barn cats. :)

Ah... a HUGE thank you for feeding and looking out for homeless kitties. A cause near and dear to my heart! I have a colony of cats (all spayed and neutered) that I feed daily. My cousin is a District Attorney and prosecutes animal cruelty cases... she is a real gem. Anywho, we are going to be starting up a non-profit TNR program in our area. We'll be able to get cats spayed for $10 each! Right now I'm going it by myself, but once the world gets back to some kinda "normality" I've got a group of people all willing to help :-)

A word of advice on your sickly kitty--- if your able, you could get some powdered kitten formula and mix up some of that for the cat. I find that the added nutrients are beneficial to those who need a little boost :-)

Dearest Tammy,
Hope you are feeling fit again.
Seeing that many abandoned kitties is not a very uplifting sight to face day after day.
WHY can't we make more people, or ALL people more responsible for these little critters?! They are so innocent and cannot take care of themselves, much less when being ill. You have a big and golden heart and may God heal the sweet creature after your TLC.
Hugs,
Mariette
