Caturday Compassion

A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

(Albert Einstein)

Compassion is the spontaneous wisdom of the heart.

(Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche)

Compassion brings us to a stop,
and for a moment we rise above ourselves.

(Mason Cooley)

Just some of the kitties I encounter on my daily walks.  There are many that just want food.  And then there are some that want a whole lotta love.

Happy Caturday!

Ohhh.. I keep thinking you will abscond with one of those darling kitties and give it the home of it's dreams. I love your little crocheted cat, very clever indeed!!

((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I really love your Caterday post. I miss having cats. For years we always had a couple cats and a dog or two. When we started getting grandkids, several of them were terribly allergic to cats, so we had to decide, grandkids or cats...the grandkids won. haha.
But some of my favorite memories are two of my favorites, Mananna, and Figgy. They would lay on the bet at my feet, and in the morning, Mananna would gently put her paw on my cheek to wake me up for work, and to let her outside. (we never had litter boxes) They were indoor, outdoor cats. Miss them both.

You last pictures is adorable!

Bless your heart Tammy. Those little kitties just want love. I just read an article by a vet that said when a cat rubs around your legs, it's leaving it's scent on you to claim you. It's the cats way of proclaiming love for you. Isn't that sweet?
Your crochet is lovely as always. Thank you for being you.
Blessings,
Betsy

I love how you take care and visit all these kitties! How they must look forward to seeing you! Thanks for stopping by my blog on several occasions and leaving comments! I hope you also have Happy Holidays as well!

Dearest Tammy,
You are such a heavenly blessing to so many kitties that are completely deprived of any human care...
It is the saddest thing in the world as this will create more problems, like diseases and unwanted litters with the very same fate.
WHY can't be more people just like you and lots of us (luckily there are more that do care for their pets!)?!
Lovely photos, even though they are heart wrenching to look at and to realize, these are just stolen moments that will not last.
Hugs,
Mariette

Love those quotes. We are part of nature, not existing outside. You have made such beautiful friends. I hate it when they follow me and I can't bring them home. Love the little kitten face you made.
