May Peace Abide

 Selenophile.
A person who is fond of the moon.
My husband called me more than once this month to tell me to go outside and look at the moon.
Came across this quote by Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 Astronaut, that accurately describes how I feel about politics and all disrupters of peace in this world.

You develop an instant global consciousness, a people orientation, an intense dissatisfaction with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it. From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say,
‘Look at that, you son of a bitch.”
Made a very small start on a free cross-stitch pattern from Beth Twist at Heartstrings Samplery who modified her original design that said "Within this house may peace abide" to "Around the world may peace abide".
More to come.
Take care.

Hi Tammy,

I never knew that word before -- but it's a beautiful and so are the photos of the moon. I wonder if the name Selena relates to the moon? Thanks for coming to see me at Marmelade Gypsy the other day!
