Tea on Tuesday

While I am working up an Around a Square Doily posted by Glor at Crochet Galore and having lemon iced tea ...

Jingles is gazing out the window ...

at these two little mourning doves.

They were primping ....

resting ...

eating...

and basically driving her crazy!

And then there were three.

This is the first time I've seen doves actually hang out on the balcony for any length of time. They are certainly keeping Jingles busy!

For more tea participants go to Kimmie's place at Art in Red Wagons and have a terrific Tuesday! Friendship blessings, Tammy

I love to hear morning doves in my yard. For some reason the sound takes me back to my childhood. I think Rhondi is blogging every so often. If you haven't seen her blog lately you should check it out!

I so miss having a cat in my life. They provide hours of entertainment and comfort without many demands of their human. I think the doves were teasing her! Surely they could see her through the window .... And hear her paws batting at the glass :)

Your crochet project looks very relaxing and makes me want to pick up a ball of yarn! Happy tuesday! xoxo, Kimmie

Hi Tammy, you look very innocent visitor there on your balcony, luckily glass divides a possible seizure and freedom (the kitten was very helpful) I'll tell you that I live in a residential development within a mountain in the country. We are always surrounded by a wide variety of birds. And the birds are singing with her very special song that almost anyone they like, but how are you living in "community" with the other birds, at least I admire them and I have them drinking and eating places. For me to see and that is so relaxing visit me! here for generations say that if you visit a bird or gets inside your home, you are blessed by God! greetings, Rose Marie

Hi Tammy...Oh, I wonder if you let Jingles out on the patio, if he would chomp those doves for a snack or if he would just crouch down and watch them. Is he a hunter?

Hope you are keeping cool and that you had a good day. Susan

Mmmmm! Lemon iced tea sounds refreshing right now. Love your doily.Yellow and white, just says summer. Somehow your doves must know there is a glass door protecting them from Jingles or they wouldn't stick around. Happy 1st day of Summer, though guess you have had summer for quite a while now.

Hi Tammy,

I can see why poor Jingles would want to get outdoors.
We had some doves a while back that used to coo and make quite a noise early in the morning.
Now they have gone elsewhere.
Hope that you are enjoying the holidays.

Hugs
Carolyn

I can't help but think the doves were hanging out in an attempt to torture Jingles. I laughed to know that Jingles spent so much of her day watching them.
Your days are looking nicely relaxing. What a lovely thing. You can get caught up on restocking your gift supply for the upcoming school year.
Enjoy your day!!

Love,
Renee

Hello Tammy... I just happened upon your blog and since you are living on my side of the earth I thought I'd say hi. I am also living in a "faraway land". It's like Oz... only my wizard is a sweet husband. :) So nice to meet you. Allison

So cute. I love cats and birds yet do not like keeping my cats locked up as I have a rather safe large yard. So I have a huge birdcage hanging from a tree that I keep seed in. They can always come to eat without it being a death trap for them!

Looks like Jingles will have some company while you are away. Its obvious that you been spending your time constructivly since finishing work. I am really enjoying my days off.
