It's nice to start each day in a leisurely way. We had whole wheat pancakes with strawberries for breakfast.
While I enjoy seeing my moss roses bloom each morning ...
my little feathered friend enjoys eating the succulent leaves.
Jingles finds her own treat on the balcony. Tender shoots of grass grow in the pots so she gets her much needed greens.
Did you know there are around 300 species of doves and pigeons in the world? After Mariette from Mariette's Back to Basics referred to my visitors as ring-necked doves, I did some research. Who knew there were so many.
Turns out, there are 5 varieties found in Kuwait: Eurasian Turtle Dove, Oriental Turtle Dove, Eurasian Collared Dove, Laughing Dove and Namaqua Dove.
I think these guys enjoyed a bird bath and a bit of sunbathing before taking off.
Happy Saturday to one and all! Friendship blessings, Tammy

Mmmm....yummy beginning :) We have mourning doves filling our tree's and feeders each day. I just love the way their wings create a song when they flutter, they're really precious birds...very sweet.
I'm enjoying your visits and decided to stop in to follow :)

Your stawberries and pancakes just gave me a good idea for breakfast for my family this monring. Love the dove photos too. I accomodate so many animals in my yard...just because it give me joy to see them.
Your pancakes with strawberries look delicious. I love to hear the cooing of the morning doves in my back yard, so soothing and peaceful.
Hi Tammy,
Your rose looks beautiful. And your breakfast....I would love to take a bite from one of those strawberry pancakes :-)!
Happy weekend,
Madelief x
Dearest Tammy,
Guess the doves pick the succulents' leaves for the moisture that is inside of them! Smart to do so, in order to survive. Jingles loves her salad... poor thing and she cannot eat enough of it I guess. Here we only see the mourning dove and very seldom.
You do get some exotic visitors indeed, several varieties come to your balcony.
Have a lovely Sunday!
Mariette
PS It is my brother who wrote several books about birds and nature in general. I know only limited about them...
I'll have the whole wheat pancakes please! YUMMY they look wonderful. AND I could bring a kitty or two to play with yours. :)
Your breakfast sounds like the perfect way to start off a Saturday. With a little grass nibbling in-between! :)
We have doves here too. They are always fund to watch.
xo Catherine
Ummmm.... that would be 'fun' to watch... not 'fund' to watch. haha
Who knew!! I thought we had the Eurasian Collared Doves and the Mourning Doves around here but there might be different species of them. Your pancakes and strawberries look delicious. Diane
We enjoyed french toast for breakfast this morning but your pancakes clearly top my french toast. It is amazing how many different kinds of birds we see visiting our yard when our feeder is filled. They also like to stop by for a little bath in our birdbath. We do not have the hot weather you experience but did see the sun today and spent some time outside. Thanks for your kind comments when you visit my blog.
I am so enjoying all of your critters ~ and your orange kitty has stolen my heart, what a cuty pie! I love your life! Now I am so hungry for pancakes ~ yum!
Blessings,
~Katie
Hi Tammy, Your pancakes look very yummy and I'm getting hungry :-). Jingles is such a sweetie. Isn't it always such fun to watch the cats?

Hi Tammy..thanks for dropping by..I love your pictures of the doves..aren't they special visitors! Brekky looks delicious too!
Yum! Your breakkie looks divine!
One of our family's favourite things to do is have breakfast with the birds. Oh what bliss.
Dearest Tammy,
Thanks for your comment! Those flowers look 'almost' wilted due to the drought. They're so paper-thin and fragile, indeed like crepe paper!
By the way, talking pigeons... please look at this post http://godslittlepeople.blogspot.com/
What a horror. You are feeding your pigeons and so do we but there are other people who act so cruel.
Lots of love,
Mariette
HI! Nice to meet you!
NICE PICS
XOXO
love all these nature photos! I'm sure the birds love having a little safe haven at your place.
