To my left, the sun...
to my right, the moon.
The entry for January 13th in Simple Abundance is entitled "Gratitude: Awakening the Heart" and the first quotation is "The eyes of my eyes are opened." (E.E. Cummings). Before blogging and the resulting (excessive) picture taking, I would not have noticed the sun or the moon.
I now find something in the every day that is noteworthy.
"It doesn't matter how awareness arrives. What matters is that it comes. My heart began to overflow with gratefulness. I started giving thanks for everything: .... Each day began to offer me authentic moments of pleasure and contentment. But hadn't they before? The difference was that I was now noticing and appreciating each day's gifts. The power of gratefulness caught me by surprise." (Sarah Ban Breathnach, Simple Abundance)
Hubby came home with these tonight. Just because.
Sending warm wishes your way for a most wonderful day! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Beautiful post and i so share the sentiments. I have started to see the world with such different eyes since I started to photograph it and write about it. And I love my new found sensitivity to the beautiful word we live in.
Lovely roses and a lovely husband.;)

Have an extra special day, Tammy. You are one special soul.
Hugs,

So true....I feel the same way...there are so many things for us to be grateful for......things many of us take for granted each day, but if we take the time to look, we find the blessings. May your day be blessed Tammy.
I have always noticed everything....from a very small child. Sometimes it can be annoying!!!! but I get your message and it is true. The roses are because you are noticed and appreciated!!!
:)
I love my Simple Abundance book ... and, after all these years, still find new (or overlooked) nuggets.
Have a happy day!
Beautifully said...let us walk in awareness of God's love....Just because...
Lovely pictures Tammy and your husband is so sweet!
Happy Sunday Sweet Girl!
Love,
LuLu~*xoxo
What a lovely "Just Because" bouquet. Those are the best ones. I really should find the Simple Abundance book. I'm so impressed with your entries related to the blogs.
The sun and moon we all have available to be grateful for. A husband who brings home flowers just because, well, that's really special! Diane
Beautiful post
Hello Tammy....It is truly so good to be grateful. When a heart is filled with gratitude, there is no room for complaints, whining, or unhappiness. The roses are so lovely and your husband is kind and thoughtful. Hope your day today goes well. Susan
Just because ... just because you're so special. How thoughtful. Enjoy your day and night.
Thank you for this today...what a sweetie husband you have...enjoy with eyes wide open my friend. xoxo
Sorry it has been so long that I have popped over. Looks like Sam gave you some lovely gifts from the trip. I am glad blogging has brought joy into your life. Ta for now.

Great words, for sure. I am so in touch with the beauty of nature around me that I notice the smallest things every day. I think I've been this way all my life. On the way home from work I cross a lake and usually there is the most gorgeous sunset.
You sure have a wonderful aunt!!
What a wonderful effect blogging has had on you. I love that it has opened your eyes to the simple pleasures in each day!! May you always find little things that make you thankful for a new day!!!
XOXOXO
Lovely post. Since blogging I too look at things that are noteworthy. Have a wonderful day.
