Wouldn't you like to start your day in a happy way? My kids were not amused this morning by my attempt to put a smile on their face.
We had clouds and drizzle much of the day. The moon this evening was hidden behind dark clouds.
The Yarn and Fiber Group met tonight. This house was down the street from where we met. I loved the way the moon looked above it. The lights from the surrounding houses made it appear much lighter than it actually was at 7 pm.
A bit of crazy quilting was on the agenda this evening. These were some of the pieces our presenter made as samples.
I don't sew but in the meeting time, I managed to get this much done.
I need to completely fill the square so I guess that will be my project this weekend. And who knows, maybe I'll just go a little crazy and try my hand at sewing some other things.
Hope you are having a great day! Friendship blessings, Tammy

HI TAMMY,
WELL, THE SUN FINALLY CAME UP LATE AFTERNOON TODAY. IT PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE, I JUST GOT DONE MAKING A LUNCH FOR MY DAUGHTER JACKIE AND MYSELF. I HAD BROILED SCALLOPS, SALMON, AND ORANGE RUFFIE. MIX VEGETABLES, POTATOES, STEWED TOMATOES, AND FOR DESSERT I MADE APPLE
CRISP, AND A POT OF EARL GREY TEA, WE HAD A NICE AFTERNOON.
TAKE CARE, I HOPE YOUR SUN COMES OUT AND SHINES, SHINES,
SHINES. RIZZI
Hello sweet lady! I personally love your attempt at a cheery breakfast even if it was lost on the boys. =) I also love that fabric you used with the script writing on it. Where is this project going? Pot holders, placemats, table runners, quilts or what? I only have so mcuh patience. It took me 2 years to finish a crazy quilt I made for my mom many years ago. I made it out of velvet, corduroy and crushed velvet. I gave it to her for Christmas and a couple months later she washed and dried it in the machine and a few of the velvet pieces started to unravel. I had told her to have it dry cleaned but noooo...=0 So anyway, she gave it to me to fix. mmm...mmm...mmm Shaking my head.
Sending sunshiny thoughts your way. I loved the moon above that home, too. So pretty.
hugs,
Tammy
Crazy quilting is so much fun! It may put its hooks into you.

Well, your blog title sure got my attention!
Hey, it's hard to make teenages smile, but I was when I saw what you made them! haaaaa
Crazy quilting is so pretty and a great way to use scraps of fabric. You're well on your way to making a pillow!
Thanks for popping over recently to see the stranger side of me and my digital art. I think I got it out of my system for awhile!
Hope you got some much needed rest. And thanks for sharing the moon. It's really spooky in a pretty sort of way!
Hugs my friend,
Jan
Hi Tammy..Loved your moon shots. I thought the smiley toast was great! Kids can be "bah, humbugs." Have a peaceful day. By the time you read this, you'll just be getting up and I'll be going to bed. Susan

I love the moon shots too. A happy breakfast makes a great start to the day, right? :)
Well done on the crazy quilting!
Your cereal creation made me smile! My boys would be the same way, rolling their eyes I'm sure...lol. Quilting, all those wonderful colors. Maybe someday I may try my hand at that. I'm always intrigued by it. Happy day to you.
Hi Tammy, I love the cereal smiley face! I am your newest follower.
*hugs*
Males, of a certain age, have no sense of humour. I know, I had two of them too. It never stopped me!! :)
that third photo is magical. Your crazy quilt square looks great. You can incorporate it with all the other things you do...little crazy gift bags....filled with cookies and happy toast!!
I love that photo of the moon and clouds over the town. How cool. :)
I have a image in my mind of the looks on Zack and Yusef's faces when they saw their breakfast. HA! Zane would have loved your breakfast!! Your photos of the cloudy night and lack of moon presence are beautiful. Really cool!
Yarn and Fiber meeting looks wonderful. I would love to think you will develop a love for creating quilt like creations. Really lovely!!
Have a great rest of the weekend. I want to see a picture of your quilt square when you get it done!!
Love,
Renee
