Along the Way

We are enjoying mild weather with temperatures in the 60's so I'm
getting out to walk as much as I can.
Winter in the desert is when things flourish.
A neighbor has taken a small plot of unused land and turned it into a little garden oasis.
I especially love when the sunflowers bloom.

 View from the pedestrian bridge.
 Public water fountain.
Today's lunch that we should have had yesterday.
Peas, cabbage and cornbread for good luck, good fortune and prosperity.

Happy Thursday!

I'm so glad that the weather is allowing you to be outside and walk more. I know you love that. The video of you walking through the stars was great. Fun! I can only imagine sunflowers growing right now. We're supposed to get 3 inches of snow tonight but the sky is blue right now. It's amazing how a blue sky can make things feel right with the world. It's been so gray for a couple of months now that this is wonderful.
Happy New Year Tammy!
Blessings,
Betsy

Dearest Tammy,
Others reach for the stars but you walk the stars and that is probably far healthier.
LOVE those blooming flowers you captured and yes, when the dessert blooms, that is quite a joy!
Your good luck meal for a Happy New Year looks delicious to me.
Sending you hugs,
Mariette

I enjoy seeing you appreciate your cooler weather and the flowers you can see this time of year. What pretty yellow blooms! It's 46 deg. F here and cloudy.. but we have a fire and are cozy. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Temps in the 60's are perfect! I took a walk in the State Park yesterday to celebrate the first day of the New Year. Temps were only in the high 30's, but the sun was shining and I was bundled up, so it actually felt quite nice and invigorating.

Hello Tammy, The weather is beautiful, I think the privilege of the desert. I love sunflowers too, that garden is a very good idea, I wish you nice pleasant walks. The menu looks fantastic, I love corn bread :)

Happy new year Tammy! It's good to know the milder weather means easier growing conditions. I love the idea of your neighbour's garden. The sight of those sunflowers give pleasure to everyone in the neighbourhood.

It's been a mild winter here thus far. We had some early snows in October, but nothing much thereafter and many days in the 50s and 60s even in January. I know by no means, are we out of the woods yet (February and March can be miserable here) but we'll take all the good weather we get. Glad to see you're enjoying your nice weather there. :)
