Staying Active

I signed up once again for Yoga with Adriene's 30 day yoga challenge.  It's just one yoga session a day for 30 days in the comfort of my own home via YouTube.  Easy, right?

Well, last year it took me until May to finish.
However, I think with my new year's mantra of focus, follow-through and finish, I will definitely complete this one on time.

After today's session, I headed out for a walk.
Some days it's easy to get bogged down with things that need to be done at home, but the weather was just too gorgeous to be stuck inside, so off I went.
On my way back home, a guy stopped and asked me where I'm from and how long I've been in Kuwait.  When I told him 25 years, he said that he always sees me taking pictures as if I'm visiting for the first time.  I said, nope, I just like taking pictures of flowers and bees and nature.
Open the bloom of your heart and become a gift of beauty to the world.

Wishing you a happy Monday!

I too love just taking photos and when I stop on the way to work to take a photo of the sunrise I often wonder if the people in the cars driving past me wonder what I'm doing!
It is keeping your mind active!

Hi Tammy,
Beautiful flowers and pictures as usual bringing respite for souls that need soothing in these difficult times. It is interesting to see how your simple actions affect the world around you. You are noticed and it has encouraged a new interaction, a new opportunity to spread your compassion and message of peace,
We all have a circle of influence and power in our commities and the wider world,
Wishing you a lovely day, whatever it brings. xx

I just love seeing the neighborhood through the eyes of your camera. I should check into a gentle yoga I can do at home. Maybe it would help my back?!
I'm enjoying your daily posts Tammy.
Blessings,
Betsy

Hello Tammy, I have never done yoga but I am very curious. Going out and getting some air and seeing a number of nature sights is very good for your inner boredom. I'm amazed at the people who don't see the beauty of the small details, even though they didn't take a photo for years.

Dearest Tammy,
Lovely photos and at least that boy was observing and that is good.
No, you certainly don't photograph because you're there for the 1st time but because you SEE the daily beauty in life!
When Pieter and I gave our seminars we often got approached by people from around the world with the question how long we've been doing this... Our life time was the reply from us and then, next question was: 'How can you muster the energy for presenting it as IF it were the 1st time?'... Enthusiasm never dies and we ought to wake up with it and see the little miracles every day!
Hugs and keep doing what you're doing.

Oh! Yoga on You Tube? That sounds like something I need to look into! Thank you!
It was nice that someone stopped and was curious. I'm famous for going up to strangers and starting conversations. Enjoy your nice weather. It is nice here too and perfect for walking although we have no interesting flowers or foliage right now.

I adore that you find beauty in the simple things of nature. Those are the best things. :) Our days aren't so busy - we pretty much do whatever we want in retirement. Sometimes I wonder who I am though as I seem to have lost all identity. Yesterday, while Sarah, Jim and I were out to lunch in Urbana, we ran into some old friends of mine from work - it was an odd feeling actually, because it's like I'm in some entirely separate life now (as if I were never there to begin with). But exercise - yes, this is something I've stuck with. Walks every day for over 10 years, and my running and more intensive workouts - 6 days a week, every single morning regardless of what's going on or how I'm feeling. It's just something I do regardless - it's such a huge part of my existence. Meditation is newer for me - but I've poured myself into that routine as well and so it is also a part of every single morning - 6 months going strong. That's what people who don't exercise don't seem to understand - once it becomes habit - it's just a part of you and you no longer have to push yourself into it.

Best wishes to you on your endeavors.
Linda

Like you, I never get tired of taking pictures on my same routes around town and our neighborhood. There is always a different perspective or something unique that pops up - if you are looking!
