Happy November! Hard to believe another month has come and gone.
I missed Kimmie's tea party yesterday. Our internet connection was so slow I couldn't upload a thing. I had pumpkin cake and spiced chai for my afternoon tea.
The cake recipe was found on the side of this can of sweet potato pie filling which just happens to be manufactured in New Iberia, LA. When I was 11, we lived in Broussard, LA and my dad worked for an oil tool company in New Iberia.
I'm back to crocheting granny squares because they are so easy to whip up.
The colors were inspired by this antique Indian quilt I bought while in Jaipur last year. One of these days, I'll have enough squares to make an afghan for the living room.
I hope your November is off to a great start. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

Pretty granny squares. Have a great day. :)
Keep going with the squares, I bet you finish before Mr.T does, although I think he has about 14 done now.
Here in the south u.k. it will soon be firework night and as yet I have not hear a single firework. What is happening???????
Usually they are going off and the rate of knots well before the actual night, cant' make it out.
Do you celebrate it there?

Probably three of my all time favs... tea, cakes and crochet. Just what are you going to be up to with those grannies. Have you tried the join as you go yet?
Dearest Tammy,
That Chai tea with the pumpkin cake looks and sounds delicious. You are a crafty lady and indeed the colors look very good, especially for your part of the world.
Have a happy rest of the week till your off day Friday.
Love to you,
Mariette
Love the beautiful autumn colors of your squares. Some of my favorite colors right there.
Happy Wednesday.
We had our first snow last night - not much but white.
The granny squares are going to make a phenomenal afghan. That quilt is a great inspiration for it. I bet you love running across something from home like that. I hope your day has been good Tammy. Diane

Happy November! Your granny squares look great and I love the colors. Enjoy your day. :-)
Hi Tammy, I'm thankful that my November is off to a good start, but sad that October flew by way too quickly as usual.
You had me grinning with your comment about spreading the sugar rub on toast. Might just work. ;)
Thanks for stopping by. Have a beautiful day!
LOVE the colors you are working with!
Have a super week.
Blessings

PS I am so grateful to see when you have come by.
Thank you for your continued support even when life gets too busy to blog sometimes. =)
Oh my goodness that Indian quilt is amazing!!
I need to get my crochet hook out again one of these days, it's so long since I've used it though I'm going to have to consult Yuotube for some how to videos :) I've got a lot of bits and pieces of wool that would be perfect for a throw for our New Zealand cottage. Oh heck - something else to put on the to do list!
Just stopping by to say "hello" Trying to do some things outside to get ready for winter. Jamie and Jeremey are coming tomorrow to do the haavy lifting of some items Slowing healing and some pain yet.
Warm hugs. Take care
