Good Friday Morning!

I do love quiet mornings! That's what Fridays are around here. Nice and slow.

While at the airport in Paris, I picked up this magazine Maison d'Hote & Demeures de Charme. The text is in French, but that's okay because pictures speak louder than words.

I picked up Casas de Pueblo while in Spain several years ago and still thumb through the pages.

I have a love for rustic charm and an outdoor country life.

Outdoors here, two tiny little blooms have popped out to say hello ...

and good morning!

For the past two days, our bedroom balcony has been a flurry of activity. I counted 8 sweet little birdies who came for breakfast yesterday morning and today there were three different varieties out there chirping and munching away.

Hubby says we are going to the plant souk this afternoon so I will have my hands in dirt this weekend.

Gardening is about enjoying the smell of things growing in the soil, getting dirty without feeling guilty, and generally taking the time to soak up a little peace and serenity. ~Lindley Karstens, noproblemgarden.com

I hope your Friday is a good one! Friendship blessings, Tammy

Hello Dear Tammy, here in my country say that if your house becomes a bird is sure to have peace. Observe the birds are beautiful, have the ability to transmit serenity in truth, they are so innocent. So I hope you spend a nice weekend in touch with nature and plants. It is also one of the most beautiful things to do, planting and enjoying the outdoors. Here is how to live within the field, is actually an island surrounded by vegetation and greenery. Aller was visiting a friend blogger to Italy and showed us a town where you watched the beautiful architectural elements, tiles, balconies, mountain picnics, good good beautiful! Have a blessed weekend! hugs. Rose Marie

Good Friday morning from the chilly, 64 degree, Central Illinois! It's been a cool week here and the only gardening that will be done here is cleaning up gardens after the first frost which is probably just a month or so away. I do still plant mums in the fall and may do some of that. I think I'll get my fall decorations out this weekend if I can find time in between grocery shopping and traveling over an hour away to see Sarah and her marching band compete in the first Band Invitational of the school year. It looks to be a cold day out there on the marching band fields.

Just a normal Friday workday here for now - I'm looking forward to being home later today and hopefully doing nothing much at least this afternoon and tonight. :)

Have a great weekend,
Linda

P.S. I had never heard the term Souk and had to look it up. I see - it's a market. :)

Quiet Friday mornings are the best. I too, love to thumb through the old mags. Are you do a Debbie-Do?

Yeah Friday here too! You are right about the books. I thumb through my favorites often just for the pictures. Hope your birdies and flowers are signs of coming cooler weather. Still around 100 here, but mornings are cool enough to work in the garden. Have a happy weekend.

Like the little birdies that showed up. Did Jingles see them???

It's been busy here all week (unusually so) and I have been bad about keeping up. So when I clicked onto your blog today, I was met with the photo of FOOD! I'm starved...no lunch. So, now I must go find a snack to tide me over until dinner. Thanks girl..........

Have a good weekend planting.

I always enjoy these glimpses into your day .... The portulaca and the birds are precious!

I heard somewhere that every seventh day the human body needs a rest. Somebody's clinically tested and proven fact ..... Why it needed to be tested, who knows!! Today is our day to relax .... And gardening will be part of that relaxation :)
