Days of Busyness

Good morning everyone! My how times flies! We had a busy end of the week around here and blogger had some serious issues of its own.

Our temps this past week have reached up to 115 degrees and everyone is feeling it. These little guys have been coming to my balcony with beaks open as if they are parched. I've now set out a big bowl of water for them so hopefully they can find some relief.

Hubby started walking about a week ago without me so I decided it was time I hit the trail again too. We go after 5 pm so that it won't be as hot. Of course, we walked together once and then life got in the way.

The kids had their final Spring Concert at school on Wednesday evening. Zack on sax ...

and Yusef on trombone.

The finale was written by their band director with all the 8th, 9th and 10th grade band members playing together; 3/4's of the way through the song, the 10th graders (Yusef is one of them) headed to the back of the stage for a drumming piece that garnered them a standing ovation.

Thursday I met with a few friends for nibbles and drinks.

Friday found us at one of our favorite places for lunch.

For our favorite kinda food.

And in the evening we had a coffee break with friends.

Which brings us to today, our last day of the weekend. Cleaning is a must and hopefully a bit of crocheting as I've started another baby blanket for a little one due around June 6th.

Hope you have a great weekend in your little corner of the world. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Dearest Tammy,

Did you lose a post? My tip is to go under Settings in Blogger and than Email & Mobile and add your own email there. That way you can revive your 'lost' post in no time!
Let's hope things go smooth from now on...
This baby blanket looks so lovely! Also your walking trail. Above all, your two sons are performing with all they have; love that kind of things. It inspires the young people to perform well and enjoy their hard work.
Lovely restaurants you got there. But poor birds; their restaurants seem mostly closed... How can they ever raise young ones?

Lots of love,

Mariette

Wow 115! It rarely gets that hot here. I admire you both for getting out and walking in the evening. I know it's not that easy when it's hot.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Marcia
P.S. Thanks so much for the birthday wishes for Micaela. I always want to send you an email, but then remember that you're on "non-reply".

The temperature would give me a good excuse not to walk. Good for you for going with hubby anyway. My granddaughter plays trombone in the school band. I love their concerts. You musthave been proud with two playing. Intersting restaurants. That looked like sushi, which I have never been brave enough to try. Love the baby blanket. I am trying a scarf, but haven't crocheted in a while. Yes, you had a busy week.

Hi Tammy,
So glad Blogger has recovered from it's own kind of over heating as I missed my friends.
You must have been so proud of your boys, I used to feel the same when my grandson was dancing.
I would love to join you in some of those places to eat it always looks delicious.
Like you I am making for a baby, a quilt for my grandaughter who is due to arrive in June.
have a great weekend.

It's been getting quite cold here with winter due to arrive on June 1st. How sweet of you to put out some water for the birds with the days being so hot and dry there.

How proud you must be of both your sons.

The food looks delicious!

What pretty colours you've chosen for the baby blanket...lovely work!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Love,
Serena xo

Hi Tammy...Thanks for the update. Have missd you! Blogger was definitely down and it was a little bit scary. All's well, however, with the excetion of missing Comment section. Not too bad. Glad your boys are musical and that you are walking. I swam four times this week and that made me happy. Susan

School is also ending here soon. Granddaughters will be spend a day each week with me. I'm planning some craft activity each day and there will be swimming lessons for the youngest.

We hit 100 a week ago and them a little cool down. The temps in the mountains were below freezing each night and we had to unhook the water supply to the motorhome each evening to prevent freezing and "exploding" water hose as camp host explained.

People here also do their walking early in the morning when weather reaches those high temps. We probably won't have 115s until late June but hottest day on record was in June.

Enjoy your weekend.

It's been a nice quiet day and I haven't gone any farther than the mailbox. Which are truly my favorite days. Just me and the pets and the quiet.

It seems that every time I visit here, you always manage to make me hungry! I need to go cut up some celery. Now!
It's back in the low 60s here, after record highs last week. But I really shouldn't complain, when you're living with 100+ temps. Stay cool!

Hi Tammy,

That is really hot and don't you feel sorry for the little birds, who must be feeling it too.
You must be so proud of your boys and it will be so much fun going and listening to the performance.
I love the sweet baby blanket you are making.

Happy weekend

Between Blogger being down and me being down with a bug, I've barely been able to keep up this week. Poor little birds, I'm glad they found your home, they knew they would find respite there. You're such a good soul, Tammy. Thanks for the update. I bet the kid's music was great. Diane

Hey Stranger!!
I have missed reading your posts for the last few days. I knew you were really busy, as I have not heard much from you. Good to know you are back online.
It looks like you have had a busy week. Here too. (I sent you an email all about it...) Love the pictures of the boys at the concert. I can't get used to Yusef's hair being so short, and it was hard to miss that Zack's hair was short too. Looks good! Glad the concert was so enjoyable.
I did not recognize any of the restaurants you went to this past weekend. I get the feeling things have changed since I left... HA!
Glad you had an enjoyable weekend. Hope you are finding crochet time!!

Love ya, dear!!

Renee
