Drizzle and Doilies

Yesterday's morning clouds led to a day with a steady light drizzle of rain. Much needed as we've not had much this season.

Dust had been predicted, but let's hope the rain showers washed all that away. Zack skipped baseball practice so we had a free afternoon which is always a good thing. I tried a sugar spun doily pattern posted by Glor at Crochet Galore and had time to finish up a cream and white one this week.

I also made a quick card to go with the granny ripple afghan I made more than a month ago. Mommy and baby came by school yesterday to visit and little Charlie, who was born on February 13th, is just adorable. It's about time I get that blanket to them.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday! Friendship blessings, Tammy

You are getting creative with the crocheting. the doilie is wonderful. As for the card, it turned out just fine without any help from the printer. Glad to know you have crossed one more thing off your list of things to do.
Hope you don't get any rain that makes more work for you at home!!!

Love,
Renee

Your dollies are dainty and lovely. My great aunt use to make these and we loved them under our lamps ,vases and at the time my mom's ashtray(yuck).

Hope that the drizzel quieted the dust storms! The card you made is adorable. The recipients will adore this card and blanket. Love the handmade, speaks so much. I'm glad you liked the doilies, thanks for mentioning. I just can't seem to get enough of them. Have a wonderful day. Blessings in abundance.

Hi Tammy,

Thanks for the tea tour. I had no idea...

Your needlework is so beautiful and fine. I can crochet with yarn but not with the fine thread. My hand cramps and I lose track of where I'm supposed to be going :(

You're always making something lovely. :)

It's raining here today as well and I'm happy for it, although we haven't seen the sun in a couple of weeks and it's been cold. Today is the first day where it feels a bit mild again with a high around 50. Tomorrow it's supposed to be cold again though. That's Springtime in Illinois - up and down until it settles.

Hope you have a good remainder of the week.
Love, Linda

No drizzle here, but strong wind gusts! Thank goodness it's bright and shinny, otherwise, it would had meant cold days. And we don't want that right now!! :O)
I'm sure your friend will love the present.
have a lovely day!

Hi stranger,
It's been a while:-) Anyway, what pretty doilies and hand-made card. When ever I can I also make my cards. I think hand-made ones can be much more personal, don't you think? Hope you and your family are doing well. It was nice hearing from you Tammy. Wishing you a wonderful sweet day my friend.

Hugs and Kisses,
♥Ana

Lovely crochet and cute card. I'm sure baby and mom will love the ripple afghan. Don't know about where you are but I love the smell of the desert here after a rain. So fresh and everything looks and smells clean. We too have to content with dust everywhere most of the year. Supposed to be in the 80s today and high 80s tomorrow. We have a spring training special event tomorrow afternoon and evening. Should be a great day for a ballgame.

What a perfect title for your post, Tammy! Love those pretty doilies--you're just so gifted with that crochet hook of yours, my friend! I'm not so good with small patterns...would love to be, though! Wish I could just spend an afternoon sitting next to you so I could watch you do it...I learn better that way!

Glad you got a bit of rain...I love rainy days! Makes you feel so cozy & like it's okay to sit & just craft all day!

Wishing you a most wonderful day, dear friend!
