Gun Fun and Other Crafty Ways

Hello friends! This might come as quite a shock to all you crafty, creative folks out there but for the first time today I used a glue gun! I bought it weeks ago and finally decided to heat it up. My inspiration came while visiting Sandra at Stone Creek Market. You can check out her Easter Glitter post here.

Yesterday I found the sweetest Easter ornaments and remembered that I had heart shaped glass jars with cork lids. The jars were purchased years ago for 30 cents each and never used for anything. A little Easter grass, some hot glue and voila. Need to buy some more Easter candy to fill up the last three.

I have been inspired by so many bloggers who are decoupaging plastic eggs so that was next on my list of things to do, along with a cheese box makeover (you know, those round boxes the triangular cheese comes in) -- that idea was inspired by Christmas boxes made by Dee Dee over at Dee Dee's Craft Spot.

This plain black box held a very lovely birthday present from a dear friend. Of course, saved it (as I do most every box and paper and jar that comes my way).

Now it is the perfect gift for another friend who just had a birthday.

Filled with lots of little goodies.

Even the small boxes get a little scrappy makeover. I'm already considering what me and my glue little gun can do tomorrow. Hope you are having a crafty day wherever you are! Many blessings, Tammy

Your easter jars are so cute and your hot glue gun proved to ba a real blessings. isn'it just amazing how quick and clean the gun is and how wonderfully the glue sticks on nearly every surface?
haven't made any easter decorations yet and doubt if I will ever be able to make any as I'm working all day tomorrow (that's only one of the bad sides of having a new job...*sigh*) and Easter day will then be only two days away... anyway I'm so glad to have you, my dear bloggy friend, to inspire me with your crafts. Those little crafty hands of yours are always on the run for something fun and great looking. From the very first day I came across you and your wonderful blog I knew you'd be an amazing source if inspiration. Talent is certainly one among the many gifts God has blessed you with.
thank you for sharing and, a very blessed Easter to you and your dearest ones.
love

Your created things are so cute, Tammy. You sound like me, my mother gave me a glue gun and I had it for over a year and was afraid to use it. When I finally did I was mad at myself for not doing it earlier. We're funny creatures, aren't we!!

Hi Tammy,
You were very busy with your Easter projects and they all turned out so cute!! I love the decoupaged eggs.
I just bought a glue gun last week. I had one years ago but couldn't find it (shows how much I used it). I thought it would probably be a good thing to have in my studio.
Have a wonderful weekend.

You are SO funny!! I love the fact that a glue gun can make you so happy. HA! Good for you for having such a great day creating and playing with glue. It sure looks like you got a lot done!! What great ideas you had. I know Maria is going to love her presents, and the box it all came in. I wish I was there to be a part of it all. Give her a hug from me, and tell her I hope she finds Spike!!!

Hi Tammy,

Oh aren't glue guns fun, you just have to be careful none of the hot glue comes into contact with your fingers, can be ouchy.
Love all the beautiful Easter creations you have been making, such a sweet idea with the little glass jars for candy.

Have a very happy Easter.
Hugs

Hi Tammy! Loved your post. I can't believe you've never used a glue gun! Now, you're a true crafter! I just love that box full of goodies. You're friend will be thrilled for sure. I'm inspired to do some decopaging by looking at the photos you put up. Also, I noticed your cat sitting by your son----he's identical to our neighbor cat, Max, who stops by to visit my daughter regularly. Sorry I've stayed away from your blog. Have fun with that glue gun of yours! LOL!

The glue gun is a great tool, can't believe with all your crafting you haven't used one before. All your crafts look great.

Now days I have only time for my jewelry and a few crocheted projects. It has been a long time since I've done some paper crafts. I am itching to do some note cards or work on the altered book I started last year. Oh well, I am enjoying what I'm doing now.

Hope you have a Happy Easter!

You never cease to amaze me with what you can do. If I knew that a glue gun would inspire you to be more creative, I would have gotten you one for your bday. Your gift box for Maria is just so darn pretty and I can feel the warmth and thoughtfulness that you put into it oozing out. Lets hope I don't have any problems posting today. Happy Easter!
