Faraway Wishes

G is for Girlfriend

That's what she is to me.

W is for Wonderful!

She's wonderful as can be.

E is for Everlasting!

Our friendship is true blue.

N is for No one ...

can measure up to you!

I grew up in the South and my cousin, Gwen, grew up in Michigan. We only saw each other every other year at Christmas until I was about 14. After that, although we didn't see each other for many, many years, we corresponded with each other through letters. After more than 20 years, I finally made my way North again for a reunion and I'm so glad I did. She is the one who insisted I try blogging. She asked me to give it a month and if I didn't like it, then I could just quit. That was July last year and I'm still here. She is also the one who started me scrapbooking and inspired me to start crocheting more things like scarves and dishcloths. She continues to inspire and motivate me in so many ways!

Happy Birthday dear cousin, my friend! You are also a sister of my heart! Hugs and Blessings, Tammy

Happy Birthday to your cousin and friend. It is wonderful when cousins, who played together as children, meet up again as adults. It is so wonderful to have someone to share childhood memories with. I have no idea where my favorite cousins are. I have some nearby but we never get together. I may need to do something about that. Blessings

Sweetie, the next time you are going to make it to Michigan, let me know! I'm way up here in Sault Sainte Marie, but I'll gas up the ol' buggy and come see you and drop in on my son who lives down state while I'm at it☺

So lucky to have such a great friend - and also relative! - in one person. Not all of us are that fortunate. Happy Birthday to her! and may she continue to spread inspiration and joy to many.

As we learned in Girl Scouts . . . Make new friends but keep the old . . . one is silver and the other gold . . .
And each one truly precious!

Such a sweet tribute to your girlfriend !

Hi Tammy ~ What a wonderful tribute to Gwen - she has to love seeing it and feel the affection and warmth coming her way. Splendid job!

I'm always checking in on your blog but have not left many messages on yours or anybody' blog much lately. Last couple of months I've been going through difficult emotions and depression that keeps me from functioning well on anything. (Because of the 3 close family member deaths last year). So, please forgive. Until yesterday,my last post was Christmas Eve and before that I think on Thanksgiving - just couldn't do it.

Thankfully, yesterday I did post for a birthday tribute to Rose of Bella Rosa - please come by and check it out.

Cynthia K. (Beauty and Blessings)
