This afternoon I tried a new pattern for a standard crochet mandala.
I just wanted something simple that worked up quickly.
The pattern is increased rounds with a scalloped border.
Can't get much easier than that.
You can find the pattern at A Creative Being.
I definitely want to make more in brighter colors. I think they will make great gifts with a vase of flowers.
I also tried a new recipe for vegan peanut butter cookies.
My husband isn't a peanut butter eater like me, but he says the cookies are delicious!
And my son just shouted from the kitchen "good cookies, Mom" so you know they gotta be good.
Recipe can be found at Blissful Basil.
Have a marvelous Monday!

These are very pretty colors...it sort of reminds me of Americana style. A gift along with flowers is a great idea!
I love peanut butter but sadly, just like it plain...no jelly and not in anything baked. I can't even stomach making the cookies! My poor family has missed out on them all these years! :(

I like the simple mandala pattern.. good job! And bravo on finding a cookie recipe that your guys like.. you're a good mom! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Your dedication to your crochet projects is inspiring! Happy Mandala Monday, I love the simplicity of this flat circle radiating outward. I thin it would be a wonderful gift with flowers, too!

Back atcha', my friend! Cookies AND a beautiful doily - Happy Creative Monday!
Mmmmmmmm...peanut butter!
Love the new dishcloth.
Hi, you busy crocheting Tammy :o),
your cookie-idea sounds good: In Austria peanut butter is not really common, but my daughter, she discovered it as a little girl in the USA and loves it ever since. So I'm sure she'd love these cookies, too! (She also loves root beer since she tried it in New Orleans... May be she has an American soul ;o)) Thank you so much for your nice words on my blog!
Warm hugs, Traude
Anything peanut butter gets my vote and that your guys like it too-double bonus! The Mandela is very pretty. I like the colors you chose.
Blessings,
Betsy
I love it! I've been wanting to make doilies with yarn as opposed to thread and this is just what I've been looking for. Thank you! It's also a great way to use up scraps of yarn. The peanut butter cookies sound great..peanut butter cookies of any kind are my favorite.LOL!
Love the crochet and the cookies look very yummy. If you got a shot out from your son they must be delicious.
Hugs,
Meredith
Your cookies look delicious! xx
Such a pretty colour combination, Tammy, which would make the sweetest gift, indeed! Like your hubby, I never eat peanut butter, but I love it in cookies or combined with chocolate in desserts!
Have a wonderful week!

Love your latest creation and the cookies look divine. :)
It's been such a hot humid day here with many places closing early due to the oppressive heat. I did end up meeting my daughter for a quick lunch as she arrived on campus before her afternoon class and successfully embarrassed her once again (it's a gift). We'll try something different in the future - she won't be back here on campus until another couple of weeks due to the upcoming holiday.
Have a nice evening,
Linda : )
thank you for the peanut butter cookie recipe-I just pinned it on my gluten free board so I can find them again-looks delicious

I've been going back over your posts from this summer. I love to read about your travels and see all of your photos. I've been to New Mexico many times, but I don't recall Las Vegas NM.
Thank you for your sweet comments about my mom's passing. Your thoughtful words meant so much.

Marcia
