Spreading the love

With Valentine's Day fast approaching, I've been taking some time to crochet hearts. The pattern for these small hearts can be found over at Lorraine's  place.
And this bigger one can be found here.
If you would like to send a little love by snail mail, you can check out Debbie's post about Hope Unlimited for Children, an organization in Brazil that rescues children from the streets.  They are asking that Valentines be sent for the young girls they have rescued.  The valentines will be handed out early summer so there's still plenty of time.  You can read about Hope Unlimited's Mission at The Least of These.
Send your valentines to Hope Unlimited for Children, PO Box 2707, Los Alamitos, CA 90720

Although I don't really do awards, I would like to thank Barbina at Little Things Made with Love and LoveStitch for being so sweet to think of me and mention me on their blogs.  Both ladies are very talented crocheters so pop on over their way for a visit.
The weekend is quickly coming to an end.  I've enjoyed another quiet day at home, cooking (lentil soup with baked sambousa, baking (donuts with chocolate glaze and chopped pecans) ...
and cleaning.  Guess who the blob is under my fresh, clean sheets.
Just need to prepare things for tomorrow and then will crochet the evening away.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

A string of those
little hearts would
make a sweet bunting
over a window or bed.
Love them!

Hope your weekend
is off to a relaxing
start and that the
weather doesn't keep
you homebound!

Happy V-day!

Hi Tammy, it looks like some other nice bloggers beat me to the punch. I too awarded you with an award. That's fine if you don't do blog awards, I just wanted to recognize some of my favorites. Take care and enjoy your weekend. :-)

Hi, my name is JoAnn, I found you from Heather's site.

I like the hearts you are making. I might try that bigger one with some cotton thread. It looks like a cute pattern. :)

The little hearts are so cute. I also love the larger heart you made. Thanks for the links.

There's always delicious food going down at your place. YUM!

I'm guessing it's Jingles under the sheets? My Cody does that sometimes too. lol

Congratulations on your award!

Now I'm off to check out the link for Hope Unlimited.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend ~ xo

Dearest Tammy,

That blob under your clean sheet made me smile. Though we don't use sheets but a duvet cover with goose down duvet, one of ours always jumps right underneath. They think we change bed linens for them! It is true after all that cats have their servants...
Have a great day and a nice week ahead, even though your week started already.

Love to you,

Mariette
