Not Again!

That's usually what I hear when I've made yet another pot of soup.  What can I say?  I love soup!  It's healthy, filling and comforting on dreary days.
This time I made Red lentil soup with spinach and lemon, served with a dollop of yogurt and pita chips on the side (brush olive oil on pita bread and sprinkle with creole seasoning; broil, turning once, until crisp).
The good news is everyone liked it.

I crocheted another basket using a different yarn that is stiffer and thicker so the sides hold up really well.
We had a really hard rain last night.  Today has been quiet.  A day at home in pj's.  Blogging, cooking, crocheting.  My favorite kinda day.

Hope you are having a good one, too!

That's my kind of day too!

The soup looks delicious. I make soup at least once a week. It makes me feel all warm anc cozy inside.

Lovely!

The soup looks delicious and the basket is so pretty - love the colors you used.

The heavy fog we had this morning is finally rolling out and the sun is coming out for another warm spring (uh - I mean "winter") day. I'm heading out for my usual 3-mile walk in just a little bit. It's my long day of work. I'm looking forward to the shorter work day tomorrow and the beginning of my quiet weekend (with everyone away for the weekend, hooray).

Have a nice evening,
Linda

Lovely soup! I too love soup and have it for lunch most days! I also love the new bowl you've made, it does look sturdy. (Btw I am enjoying the music here very much!)
Have a lovely weekend!

Hi Tammy, I also same thing happens, I think making soups on rainy days and be home to "I call him '" vegetate "is a universal trend! My kids are angry and even go outside to buy food or prepare other things when I make soups very often in the weeks, but I love soup, so light fall on the stomach, are healthier and are sometimes versatile. Tammy greetings, Rose Marie

Your soup sounds good. I'm always making soup, chili or stew this time of year too. I love pita chips, I like the idea of sprinkling the seasoning on them, will have to give it a try. Thanks for the tip. Your basket turned out great! Pretty yarn too. Take care.

Love the little basket. I'm working on a yarn basket too - kind of hard on the hands, so I have to take breaks. Have a great day. :)

I love soup too, Tammy. One of my sons does like soup but he prefers a more solid meal. The red lentil soup looks like another I must try. YUM!

Cute basket!

Wonder why I always get so hungry in here...? ;)
I love soup too and your boys breakfast sounds yummie.
I think the easymade food is the best one. Most of the time. Everyday food. :)
Have a great sunday evening!
