Dark and Drizzly

This morning it was hard to tell if dust or rain was headed our way.
Turned out to be rain that would come and go and come back again with blustery winds.
So much for walking weather.
This picture was taken while we were out Thursday afternoon -- when we had pretty blue skies.
Kuwait celebrates its National Day today and despite the weather, we could hear diehard revelers out there honking their horns all day and night.  It can get a little crazy on the roads which is why we prefer to stay home.

So it's been another pajama day with crochet to keep me busy.

I made a cover for an empty plastic coffee can that will now be used to hold sugar.  And a sleeve for a jam jar that will be used to hold flowers or plant cuttings.

The wind is still blowing out there but I'm hoping we will wake up to better weather tomorrow.

Hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Though I really don't care for wind, I wish a bit of it would blow over here if it brought some rain... it's been an exceedingly dry winter, crops are already suffering from lack of water and everybody is a bit worried about a drought. Isn't it odd... the rest of Europe trying to stay above the snow and we haven't had a drop of rain since November.
Have a wonderful weekend :) XXX

What car accident? Did I miss something? Is everyone okay? They mentioned on the weather last night that your mood and physical well being is affected by a low barometer which is what happens when it rains. I always get a headache when a storm is coming! Stick me out in the yard with my mouth open to the sky and I could be a rain gauge too!
Your flowers are very pretty..both the ones you received and the ones you crocheted. Did you see my post (awhile back)on my felted tote bag with the flowers and leaves dangling down? It's a free pattern on Ravelry.com and they're pretty darn cute too I must say and fun to make.
I just finished those dang oven mitts...knitting is not my forte yet but I will persist. Love your "covers" that you've made and that bowl is SO pretty! I sure hope your weather clears up and you feel better. It's sunny here and my clothes are hanging out on the line. I'm making turkey soup tonight and blueberry cream cheese coffee cake...what I'm really doing is cleaning out my freezer! LOL! Have a great weekend! Oh, and Happy Birthday tomorrow! Celebrate! You're a treasure!

So nice to see it´s raining in Kuwait. I guess it´s needed and makes the plants grow this time of year.
Sounds like you had a cozy day and I hope your headache is gone by now.
Have a great sunday!

Sounds like a good day to stay in and nest and enjoy the peace of home. We had a busy day with running to and fro, but home now and relaxing. :-)

Sounds like a wonderful day to stay inside where it's warm and gives you a chance to create more of those lovely crochet pieces. I'd sure like to have a little rain here. People are having horrible allergies because we are so dry.

Enjoy your weekend.

The sun was out here today in northern IL, though it was very cold. I went to a library book sale and out to breakfast with some friends. I could use a day at home in my jammies like you just had - sounds good to me!

You could send your rain here. We have not had winter rain and snow and it feels really strange. We know we need the water table and fire season will be horrific this year. Enjoy your lazy relaxed day...

Hi Tammy....

Snowed in Western Massachusetts today. And it's c-c-c-old.

That's okay. The whole winter has been mild. And spring is just around the corner.

Have a nice Sunday. Susan

Hi Tammy,

Sounds like the perfect day, staying in especially if it is a little crazy on the roads.
You have been busy with all your crocheting and love the little covers for the jars and also the red roses in the vase and the one you made.

Happy National Day
Hugs

It's a bit like the weekend we've just had...wet and grey. I was tempted to have a PJ day myself.

Lovely crochet projects, as always ~ :)

I get very bored, very easily, so staying in all day bothers me at times. Yesterday was one of those days, even though it was bright and sunny here, there is a cold wind blowing and I don't like wind. I did manage to get outside for a bit in the afternoon to snap some photos of "signs of spring". Of course, some of those plants have been growing all winter, because it's been so incredibly mild.

Our evening picked up, I wrote about it briefly and took another pretty moon picture. :)

Today and tomorrow until Jim's surgery and after the attack he had on Thursday morning, he hasn't had any others and looks like he will make it until the surgery date.

Hope you enjoy another couple of days off. Mine are coming Tuesday and probably WEdnesday, but that will be time spent at the hospital and at home caring for Jim.

Linda :)
