Despite the Weather

Yesterday was a dreary day weather-wise. And no, that is not the moon up high in the sky, it is the sun trying to shine through the haze.

My friend, Leslie, and I went to a contemporary Middle Eastern restaurant for lunch.

She had been many times before but it was my first time. Love the decor!

Each table includes one chair that is covered in a beautiful Turkish fabric that showcases the Suzani design.

We sat inside but had a nice view from our table, despite the dusty weather.

On the menu, Persian felafel (with tahini sauce), pumpkin dip, red pepper dip, lentil salad with yogurt dressing ... we also ordered taboulleh and tabliyah (a flat bread pizza in sections -- sauteed onions, wilted spinach and eggplant). Everything was delicious!

Back at Leslie's place, while we chatted, her daughter, Renee, got out the birthday gift I gave her that included two ceramic plates for painting.

The dust is worse today so I am having another stay-at-home pajama-wearing crafting kinda day! Hope everyone has a great week! Happy Monday. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

And, I love the ceramic plates you gave Renee! My obsession with watercolors has me coveting those! LOL! Blessings ~ Tanna

Your lunch sounds amazing! I'm a vegetarian, and you mentioned some of my favourites. I haven't had pumpkin dip, but I am sure it is delicious.
Thank you for stopping by today & your kind comment ♥

Ok, now I know why the teachers from AIK that came to Doha were complaining about the restaurants here. This restaurant looks wonderful and the food looks really good. Lots of interesting options that I would be more than happy to try. I am guessing you will be going there again!! YUM!
I love knowing that Renee has started plate painting. Seems very familiar somehow.... HA!
Glad you are finding lots of fun things to do at home in an effort to avoid the dust!

ENJOY!!

Renee
