New Day, New Recipe
Another new recipe tried. This one pulled from a magazine over the summer.
PASTA WITH GREEN BEANS AND TUNA
Boil 3 oz of fusilli pasta (or other short pasta)
Add 2 oz green beans 1 minute before pasta is finished
In a medium bowl combine 1 can of tuna, 1 TBS olive oil; 1 TBS chopped and toasted almonds; 2 tsps fresh parsley; 1 tsp fresh lemon juice; 1/2 tsp lemon zest; and 1 small clove garlic. Drain pasta and green beans and stir into mixture in bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
The recipe as written serves one. I cooked the amounts of wheat pasta and frozen green beans I thought I would need; left out the parsley; and used walnuts instead of almonds. A healthy salad along with homemade tomato soup for lunch. Yum! This one I will be making again.
Hope you are happy and healthy in your corner of the world. Friendship blessings, Tammy

I'm making this for dinner this week. With some crusty wheat boulle bread. I must say this looks just delish!
Listening to John Mayer right now, so this may be a wordy post!!!! lol
Any new stores pop up in your shopping malls lately? I was telling my friend about all the wonderful places you have to shop there. Amazing. And we have 'nada'. Oh, I guess that's the trade we made for living in a small town of 2100 people!
When are the ball games over? Or have they just started? I so remember soccer games. But could never understand why they scheduled them for 5pm. Kids were pooped from school and hungry for dinner. Well, we all survived!
Have a lovely day. John is done singing about his train ride and I'll be humming it all nite!
Hugs

Hi Tammy,
This sounds just right for supper tonight. Thanks, I was running short of ideas this week.
Have you tried pasta with toasted crushed walnuts ans sardines in olive oil, one of my favourites!
Hugs, Angela.
I don't eat tuna but salmon would be just as nice in this recipe, I'm sure. YUM!
Hi Tammy,
I will not promise to make this, but it looks tasty. Enjoy the day!

I copied the recipe. Maybe I'll give it a try next week. I love your quote on living for today. It is so important.
That looks tasty to me. I'll try it. :)
Thanks. Hope you have a wonderful remainder of the week.
Mmm, this recipe sounds very good and good for you.
I have the same "Look to this Day" saying framed and hanging on the wall in my bathroom. I try to remember to read it as I'm getting ready for the day. I think it is such a good reminder.
Mmmmm...I can do this! That would be a nice lunch to send off with Jim!
This looks really good. Might have to try it with chicken since I'm not to keen on tuna. Simple but appetizing:)
Lunch is looking really good. Nice to know you liked it enough to make it again!! The tomato soup is looking good too.
Enjoy!!
