Blue skies, baseball and Benihana

As we were heading out for a 9 o'clock ballgame yesterday morning, we saw this cloud formation at the end of our street. Doesn't it almost look like a snow-covered mountain in the distance??

The game lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes. Quite exciting right up until the last inning. Once again, Zack's team came out on top with a score of 17-16.

After he had a much needed shower, we headed to Benihana for lunch. The restaurant opened here about two months ago. I haven't been to a Benihana since 1988.

I was quite surprised to see that they put butter on every single dish they made on the grill. I don't remember the food being prepared that way but, of course, 1988 was a long time ago. We thought the onion volcano was very cool.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and although I could do without all the butter, the food was good and prices were comparable to other restaurants in Kuwait. Do you have a Benihana near you?

Hope you are having a super Saturday! Sending all good wishes your way! Friendship blessings, Tammy

We do have Benihana here in the Chandler Fashion Mall. We were there with my son and his family about 6 months ago. Don't remember if they used butter or not. I was more interested in watching the granddaughter's faces as they prepared the food. They were very entertained.

Congratuations on the baseball win. We are anxious for Spring Training to begin next month. The Diamondbacks have a new spring training facility a few miles from our home. It will be much easier to attend games than driving to Tucson (their former spring training location)

Hope spring arrives soon. Still freezing temps at night here but is to warm up starting today.

Hi Tammy...No, no Benihana here. The onion volcano sounded cool, though. So restaurants are expensive in Kuwait? Hope you have a great day today. Susan

Hi Tammy,
We don't have a Benihana around us but have a similar type restaurant close by. I haven't been there in a long, long time. Food is always good so I don't know why we don't go there.
Congrats to your son's team for the baseball win! Sounds like it was a good game.
Looks like you're enjoying your weekend.

not in Sheridan, Wyoming. I just have to enjoy it through your post. Sounds yummy. And you had your own mountain for a little while.

No I don't (or anything else with a 'national' name), and the last time we were in a Bennies....was in 1986 in Hawaii. So looks like the both of us have not been in awhile!!!!
Butter? Yikes, I'm sure it makes the food taste great, but wow, the calories! :)
Interesting cloud formation indeed....did it ever develop into something?
YEAH Zack's team. Close score!!!

Have a great weekend, too. We're both laying low with cold remnants still.

Hugs,
Jan

That's a pretty cool cloud formation. Almost freakish. GO TEAM ZACK!! Glad to hear they keep winning. Been to BenniHanna 2x and I can say that's probally all I'll go. Too much banging and not enough tricks. The food was good though. The only reason they use butter is because they don't have the saki sauce, they have to give it taste somehow.
