Let's start off with some color therapy
Bougainvillea and blue skies.
March has not gone according to plan where blogging and walking are concerned.
Have you heard of ocular myokymia?
"Plalking" -- Picking up litter while walking.
I've been dealing with visible pulsation under my left eye for a couple of weeks now. I've been to two doctors who both say, don't worry, it will go on its own -- and they are right, it does, but then comes right back again. Sometimes for hours, sometimes days.
The possible usual suspects are too much caffeine, stress and anxiety, not enough sleep -- similar to what I was told when I had several weeks of heart arrhythmia in 2021. Did a blood test to check my magnesium level which is perfectly fine. Because I have dry eyes, likely made even worse by the glaucoma drops, I also need to limit my screen time so have been reading more; but, if I read for too long, even that causes eye strain. My bedtime gets earlier and earlier because my eyes are so tired by the end of the day. The problem is, though the eyes are tired -- the mind and body are not -- so there's often a lot of tossing and turning.
Frustrating to say the least. So I have to try and figure out what's enough, what's too much.
I just hope this isn't going to be a chronic issue.
And ...
to top that off,
my husband was coughing away last week with a sore throat --
now it's my turn.
Started with a burning throat and has now traveled to my nose. When I walk outside, my nostrils feel like they are burning, my nose runs at night. Cough, cough, cough. Today add sneezing and nose blowing to the mix.
Warmer weather isn't helping the situation or my symptoms. But the pollinators are happy.
Take care,

Summer has come to you, how nice!
Ugh, that doesn't sound fun at all!
I had similar problems with my right eye before I got my diabetes diagnosis. I had problems similar to yours with my heart during my long post-covid period... In any case, I hope you recover soon and that you are both on top again soon.
Best wishes,
Sussie.
Love the. beautiful bright colors of the flowers.
So sorry to hear you are dealing with eye issues as I know firsthand how frustrating they are. I was diagnosed with macular degeneration last summer and receive monthly eye injections to treat it. Not fun! The eye doctors have told me how spending too much time on our devices is very drying to the eyes. They said that they are seeing more and more children with dry eyes. It is difficult to find the right balance as so much of what we do is now online. I hope your issues and the coughing and sneezing are soon a thing of the past.
Beautiful photos! Hope you feel better from the cold soon! I know when I have eye fatigue, I will close my eyes and put an audio book on. Giving your eyes a break several times a day will help!
I'm so sorry to hear about your vision challenges. It can be quite disheartening to limit things like reading. My eyes were the reason I first started listening to audiobooks. There was an totally unexpected learning curve, while my brain seemed to need to figure out how to really hear someone reading aloud, but it was so very worth sticking with it. Audiobooks are my preference now, and great for knitting when I don't have to mind a pattern.
Such lovely colors to see on this stroll. I have had a similar problem with my eye. My doctor thought I might be on the verge of having a migraine though I have not had headaches except twice in the last few years. I hope you figure out what is causing yours to twitch. Hugs
Dear Tammy, I'm sorry that you have multiple health problems. The cough is certainly annoying, but probably easier to manage than the ocular myokymia. What I couldn't tell from your text is whether you actually received the glaucoma eye drops because of glaucoma or for other reasons. I also suffer from dry eyes and take wonderful, well-tolerated hyaluronic eye drops. For the time you want to cut down on screen time, I can recommend audiobooks or audio podcasts on topics that interest you. I hope you feel better soon!
I really enjoy your spring-like, colorful photos of flowers and insects!
Did you receive my email? Unfortunately, I only discovered the day before yesterday that you sent me a message in January and I sent you a reply yesterday...
All the best, Traude

I knew something was going on when you didn't post for a few days. So sorry about the eye situation and now the cold. I'm surprised that we are not sick as one day I'm posting sandals and flowers, and the next day is rain, cold and wind. Hoping you and your dearest get well soon.
I'm sorry. That sounds frustrating and miserable! I h[ope they are right and it disappears soon FOREVER
Sorry to hear you having health issues. I also have glaucoma and live in a desert climate. The drops we have to place in our eyes certainly do dry out the eyes. I have found some relief with a dry eye moist heat compress. I bought mine from Amazon quite a few years ago. I simply place it in the microwave for a few seconds. I then place it on my eyes. The moist heat seems to activate the tear glands and naturally "waters" the eye. Hope you are both soon on the mend.
Wonderful photos, greetings
So sorry to hear about your eye troubles and the recent cough. We all struggle with screen time these days.
