Peekaboo!
Happy Caturday!
Yesterday, I did not use my laptop or my phone (except when I called a friend to see if her art professor husband wanted canvases and art supplies I found dumped; and when my eldest boy Facetimed me in the evening).
I spent time doing things that needed doing and I read an entire book.
Didn't realize when I bought it that it was a Young Adult version, though now I can see it says it right on the top -- but anyways, it was good and was still 275 pages long. I had seen the movie advertised a couple of years ago but didn't know really what it was about -- and now I do. Just another piece of shameful history that's been hidden away and is now seeing the light of day.
As soon as I finished it, I started a book that I bought in November.
I mostly read non-fiction now -- I prefer to learn while reading, rather than escape. And boy is there a lot to learn.
On my walk this morning found this little keychain lantern. Today is the first day of Ramadan and the lantern is a symbol of light and hope.
Apparently many celebrate March 1st as the first day of spring, so ...
Ramadan Mubarak and
Happy Spring
Blessed new month,

Pretty pictures!
I think I would rather read a young adult version. I have been meaning to read that book, I have a new thing about reading nonfiction right now, too. I just don't want to scare myself.
The books sound interesting. What a cute kitty! Happy Spring and Ramadan to you!
Yes, a brand new month. I love putting up my large March Calendar on the refrigerator. I live by that calendar that I can write on with pen or pencil. I know I could use the calendar in my phone....not the same. I'll stick with the one I see everytime I walk in the kitchen.
Lovely pictures. Love the cat pictures!! Happy March!
Happy March , Tammy. It is nice to get away from social media even for a day and refresh and do other things that we love. Aaah that sweet kitty- adorable. Enjoy your day. Hugs.
I've been reading more lately, but I think for me it is all about distraction. Knitting, same. After the disgraceful events in DC, I need to knit AND read just to regain some sort of quiet in my head.
Hi Tammy! Hope you continue blogging. Of course! :)
I've thought a lot about Ramadan. I love the idea of thinking about the poor, being grateful for food and drink and not taking for granted everything you get every day in life. But I've always thought that food should be simple throughout Ramadan. Like a bowl of soup with bread in the evening, but here in Sweden I feel like I experience a big gluttony throughout Ramadan... Pure buffets every evening after sunset. Almost a competition in who has cooked the most and best throughout Ramadan.
That way it all becomes mostly a big joke. I thought that the all the delicious food should be eaten AFTER Ramadan is over. What do you think? How is it in Kuwait? Curious. I think people have forgotten what it's like to be poor...
Have a great day!
God Bless you!
