Wednesday Walk With Me

 Hello Friends!  I hope you are well;

staying safe ... (and warm, if it's cold where you are).

I spent Monday and Tuesday doing some cleaning and rearranging (which actually means making messes and breaking things :), so today decided it was time to head out for a neighborhood walk.
February 25th and 26th are Kuwait's National/Liberation days so flags have been going up all over the place since the beginning of the month.
I met my feline friend, Bailey, at the walking path so gave him a little food and sat to have a chat.
He has a particular spot where he normally waits for me every evening, but I wasn't able to go for my usual late afternoon walk because of road construction on our street so I'm glad I saw him earlier in the day.
When I went to take a picture of this very large, drooping sunflower head, I was quite surprised to see a bumblebee.
I've seen honeybees, worker bees and sweat bees, but don't think I've ever seen a fuzzy bee here before.
I've noticed with the blogger changes lately that it's only my signature graphic showing up in blog sidebars.  It used to be the first photo of a post that would come up as a thumbnail.  Blog friend, Mariette, addressed this in a recent blog post, so I'm going to play with the scale of photos (and leave off my usual signature) to see if that will change what pops up.  It's not that big of a deal, but it is irritating when they keep upgrading things (and not always for the better if you ask me).

Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!

I think it's so wonderful that you take care of the kitties and go out of your way to feed them. But it breaks my heart that they are even out there, abandoned. They need loving homes.
A bumblebee! I think they are so beautiful and so unusal looking at the same time and find it fascinating that aerodynamically they should never be able to fly. But they can! We should take hope in that. We can do anything too!
Have a lovely day Tammy.
Blessings,
Betsy

Enjoyed my walk with you this morning. Lovely flags, and what a sweet cat. We had one similar years ago named Rustina. That sunflower is beautiful. Lots of seeds for the birds. Love your up close and personal bee. You take lovely pictures.
My exciting day is laundry! HaHa. I did get my One Year Bible reading done, and made my dearest a big breakfast.
Will take a walk this afternoon.

Dearest Tammy,
Wow, what a lovely post this was and the visit with a happy Baily!
How delighted it must have been for him to receive his meal with a dose of human love and care.
February 26 would have been my Parents' 72nd Wedding Anniversary... a very special day.
Looks very festive around there and it's always lovely for seeing that kind of patriotism.
Your last picture, the sized down one, is showing on the side bar.
Thanks for the shout out; we all are kind of passing on the love... as I received the tip from Dutch blogger friend Willy.
So glad this is working again, we will be up to the next Blogger 'Surprise' and none are user-friendly and for what?!
Hugs,
Mariette

I love seeing you feed your favorite feral cat. I tried to make my first out photo the way your friend suggested and so far my thumbnail is not showing. It makes me crazy peeved as I really enjoyed the thumbnail in my bloglist and in fact chose my first photo particularly for the blog list photo. ARGH. But thanks for the suggestion! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

The kitty will have been very happy to see you with your treats. I always enjoy seeing bees at work. Hope you can figure out Blogger - it's irritating the way they make changes sometimes!

Tammy - interesting note about thumbnails. I have noticed that too. I am going to pop over the other blog to see what I can learn! It is VERY cold here, so nice to see your sunny skies and imagine the warmth!!!

Those cats must love you so much, someone to feed and love them even if it is only for a little bit. Looks like you had a beautiful walk. Stay safe.

I'm just back from a walk myself. The weather is supposed to turn later to day and I had to sneak some sun in while I could. I didn't bring anything for the cats, though. Our city is infested with scary wild boars and we're not allowed to leave food out.

I love my little tour with you! Hard to imagine sunflowers when it has been snowing all day. I love your pics. Say Hi to Bailey from me. 😊 Kit

I'm sure Bailey appreciates the dinner! He looks like such a nice kitty.

Blogger drives me crazy sometimes. One blog in my blog roll had a thumbnail photo so large that it covered half the page. I had to take away everyone's thumbnails. I'm with you. STOP with the crazy changes and fix what doesn't work right.

Hope you have a wonderful week. Your sunshine makes me so happy. We've had snowy days for the past two weeks, but better days are predicted for this week. YAY SUNSHINE!

Dearest Tammy,
a walk in the neighborhood is always a good idea! Your cat friend Bailey looks very nice - he visually reminds me of our guest cat of former years, whom we called "Austria" (because he was red-white-red like the Austrian flag). Unfortunately, Austria has disappeared one day, we don't know whether he was run over or what else happened to him - we hope someone has adopted him.
I am happy with you at the sight of the bumblebee!
And I also keep having problems with the updates that are not a real improvement, but a deterioration.
I wish you all a good national / liberation day soon - and have a happy Sunday and a very good new week!
