Crafting at Koobs

It was beautiful weather today for outdoor crafting with Kuwait Crafters.
Koobs Coffee has a lovely patio with lots of plants and pretty murals.
For show and tell, Suzanne showed us her knitted shawls -- one that just needs the ends woven in, and one she was wearing.
Isn't it gorgeous!
(The picture on the left is more true to color.)
She also shared some of the cutest Christmas cookies that she brought back from Hungary.

Rene brought the reversible project bag she made.
Love the colors.

And Aruna showed us a very pretty poinsettia she crocheted.
They both have just started working on 3D leaf bags.
And the rest of us were crocheting, knitting or cross-stitching.
A really enjoyable way to start the day.

Plus vegan brownies.
Complements of Rene and so, so, so, so good!

Happy Saturday!

Dearest Tammy,
That sounds like another wonderful, sunny and happy 'united nations' gathering of crafty women!
Hungary is always been a leading nation in the most beautiful handwork and we can all learn from each other, provided we get to share.
You are fortunate for having found such a sweet crafters group and your meeting places are special too.
Those vegan brownies look so yummy!
Hugs and best wishes into the transition from Old into New Year and than soon your husband's special Birthday.
For the first time it will not be Dad's Birthday as well, but in heaven he no doubt celebrates...
Hugs,
Mariette

What a lovely place for crafting - just the environment seems conducive to creating, even before you got to the brownies ;) I haven't been knitting this year, isn't that odd? Usually I have to stop during cashmere harvest because my hands can only take so much (not very much) gripping and holding in a day. But this past year, I never started knitting again after the harvest was over, maybe because I was doing so much hoof-trimming which is an ongoing task that is also very demanding on my hands. BUT! I am now in the process of planning the biggest knitting project I've done in ages! It's going to be a Shetland hap, for a baby blanket. I've already put hours and hours into the decision-making and discussion-with-recipients phase, and am about to order actual Shetland yarn from a small mill in the UK. I am sort of giddy with excitement :)

Wow! What a beautiful place to craft. It's so cold and snowy here right now that I can't imagine being outside for very long. The projects are all beautiful, especially the shawls. Those cookies look delicious too. Wishing you a wonderful weekend my friend.
Blessings,
Betsy

WOW.. what amazing crafters you have in your group! I was very taken with the shawls. I'm a shawl-a-holic. LOL! Those brownies or cake you shared does look yummy. I always tell you I wish I had a group like yours but I know it will take some effort on my part to organize it. Maybe someday. I hope you have a wonderful 2020.. and I hope the wish of both of us comes true. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
