Autumn Apples

Did you know that today, October 5th, is National Teacher's Day?

This past Saturday, my craft group participated in a bazaar and since I knew Teacher's Day was coming up, I decided to crochet drawstring apple bags from a tutorial by Jayda Institches on YouTube.
I also made cross-stitched tags to attach to each one.
They can be filled with any sort of gift, from chocolates to homemade goodies.  Or even caramels for a take on a caramel apple.

And if you don't need a teacher gift, they are still super cute and really easy to make.

Perhaps the tag could read:
An apple a day keeps the doctor away or You're the apple of my eye.
But on this day, here's a big shout out to all the dedicated teachers out there.

A teacher affects eternity;
he can never tell where his influence stops.
~Henry Adams~

Have a great weekend!

They're so cute, Tammy. What a nice idea. As a former teacher (and current partial-homeschooler), I thank you for recognizing teachers.

The apples and tags are absolutely wonderful Tammy. You put so much work into them. I hope each and every one was given to a teacher today.
Blessings,
Betsy

Those drawstring apple bags and the tags are AdOrAbLe!!! You really made a lot of them.. I'm very impressed. I know each one will bring joy to the recipient. If you buy some new flowers for your deck, you might want to try Begonia Boliviansis - they are drought resistant and wonderful. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Dearest Tammy,
You are so thoughtful in preparing these lovely, handmade gifts! They look adorable and I want to share them on my Pinterest. Cannot do it here on my MacBook, for some weird reason...
Sending you hugs, and trying hard to catch up.

Tammy - I have several friends that are teachers or work in school administration. So, you know I don't crochet, but I love the idea of the cross-stitch tags - they could be used for other gifts … thanks for the cute, sweet inspiration!!! Enjoy your week ahead, my friend!
