Another beautiful day here albeit hot! We are already hitting the 100 mark during the day. My college boy in Colorado is complaining about the fact that they got more snow when it is supposed to be springtime. I know many of you are in the same boat and would like Spring to come and stay for awhile. I'm definitely not ready for it to end as it will just get hotter and hotter and hotter from here on out.
I spent the morning with a friend and her daughter. We first had coffee and then, since neither of them had ever been before, we headed to the same beach I was at yesterday. I actually found a cute little pink terrarium buried in the sand so brought it along for Renee to collect shells and seaglass. After bringing home my own beach treasures (and after taking a much needed shower) I was inspired to crochet based on the colors of the day.
Spring Break certainly has been good for my creative side.
oh wow I love your finds! didn't realize you were that hot already-beach is the perfect place for a walk then
Goodness it's hot there! We're happy for only 60 degrees here at this time of year. Your having such lovely times during your break. Thank you for sharing your finds with us again.
That all looks divine!
Thankfully I don't live in Colorado and we do not have snow - just beautiful, glorious springtime here in east-central Illinois now, on yet another warming trend heading to a long string of 70s over the coming days. Everything is blooming, emerging, and it makes me so happy.
That beach looks heavenly, can't wait for summer to arrive...spring is still teasing us!
What a talented gal you are Tammy. Your creative juices were flowing big time. The ocean, as I mentioned before...is a love of mine. Any ocean, or large body of water like Lake Tahoe. The shadow pictures are so cool. Sending love and smiles.
I like the heart shaped basket with your treasures in it. Your crochet work is so delightful - I wish I could crochet!
I love your collection! your crocheted rocks are adding up don't you must love them? I think they are amazing!
Love all the beach treasures you can home with - I always feel inspired when I go to the beach - you come home feeling invigorated and refreshed. Looks like you all had a fun time with the pictures.
What a lovely day!!!!!
Nice your crocheted pebbles!!!! ;oD
Great job, Tammy. You are so talented. So glad you are having fun. Susan
So nice to go to the beach - thanks for sharing your beautiful treasures. I'm sorry for your son, this weather goes on and on. Today it was beautiful here, shirtsleeve weather. But tomorrow???? He will appreciate the cool weather when he goes back home there where it's already 100. Blessings, Diane
You together did gather some nice treasures and your crocheted rocks always look special!
Enjoy your remaining days off. It has been very chilly here, had to turn the heat back on... brrrrrrr!
Tomorrow even colder and rain too. Let's hope there will be sunshine to enjoy for Easter weekend.
Lovely beach adventure. Pretty treasures you've collected.
Nice crochet decoration.
Hi Tammy. Your beach walks and beach finds / treasures are wonderful! I love how you find special pebbles for your pretty crochet work. I am envious of your finds, as my beach remains quite bare since H Sandy cleanup, a year and a half ago now. Too bad your beach allows litter tho and well-done! of you to clean things up.
lizzy at gone to the beach
I liked your idea to crochet in colors you meet around :) Your spring break seems lovely, enjoy it to teh fullest Tammy! Have a wonderful weekend!
I just love days at the beach, it must be nice to feel some sea breeze!
Sounds like a lovely day, I love your breach treasures and your crochet. :)
Hi Tammy, It is 40 degrees C here and I am not loving it but nothing we can do about it. Love your crochet rocks, I am going to try them.
Have a great weekend.
Hi Tammy, your Spring break treasure hunt at the beach looked like a lot of fun especially with friends. It looked like you even found some Sea Glass. Hugs Judy
You really are making the most of your vacation. Your photos and projects are delightful and I love how you get your inspiration from your day to day treasures and experiences. I need to try and awaken my creative genius. Ha! Ha! But I need more yarn! Continue to enjoy yourself....it's a pleasure to watch.
What a lovely day at the beach and what a sweet mother daughter picture. I love your treasures always and I wrote down the cute saying about "Life is short....stay awake for it". That's a great one!
Thank you so much for sharing your vacation with us.
