Finding Inspiration

We have dust again. The kind that just hangs in the air.  Leaves one feeling a bit blah and uninspired.
While we were on Spring Break last week, I made hearts and bags and all sorts of Easter themed items.

I even crocheted when we traveled.
But nothing this week.  Like Jingles, I've just kinda been sitting.  Only doing what needs to be done.
However, today I came across Julie's crocheted owls, which led me to Carrie's pattern and then I saw Twyla's colorful crocheted blankets and I'm ready to get started on something new.  Unfortunately, it's bedtime.  Tomorrow I shall crochet!

 Have a terrific Tuesday!

It's so fun to crochet. But the dust is not so fun and Jingles seams a bit unhappy.

What cute little owls and I love the blankets ... can't wait to see what you will have on the hook. I sometimes take a few days or week off of crocheting and then full steam when I return, especially when I find such pretty patterns as these. I'm into doilies at the moment but very shortly will be starting a blanket for the grandbaby. Have a lovely day.

Oh Tammy, I hadn't read your last post before I wrote my comment and just saw about your cousin. I am so sorry. I'm sure that leads to the quietness. Know that prayers for you and your family. Blessings.

Oh, I know what you mean. We don't have that dust but we have "gray" days and I pull all the curtains, turn on little lamps and light candles to make it cozy. It helps if I don't have to look at it! LOL!
I need to do some littler projects so I can see something tangible. The bag and hearts are so sweet! I love them. Are those doilies made out of thread? I've never used thread before....always sort of frightened me it looked so tiny and delicate but I love that look.
I'll have to go look at your links to see what your friends are up to and I can't wait to see what your next project is. Last night I had to back up 4 rows on my throw as I messed up. Too much t.v. probably...I think I'm Attention deficit...really. I pay attention to whatever is the loudest. I have 3 things going right now but putting one aside until the other 2 are done.
Poor Jingles....he does look sad. Does it bother his/your eyes? Right now the pollen is bothering mine!
Is that a dishcloth or potholder I see in blue behind your doilies? You got a lot done! I'm loving my ripple but the basket is all single crochet and really boring but I need it so I'll keep going but I can only work on it for so long. The ripple, on the other hand, is so addicting I can barely put it down.LOL!
TTYL I have to go see what you're looking at on those other blogs.

Always enjoy a look at your crochet projects. You did a good job on the hearts (I also did those ... in same color!). Your blog is so bright and pretty--in contrast to your dust photo! But it will get better. I enjoyed reading about and seeing your Dubai trip. The food looked great and it sounded so relaxing. So sorry to hear about your cousin passing ... such a tough disease.

Hope you're having a good week!

The wonderful thing about crochet is there are so many varied things you can make so you need never get fed up with it.
Does Jingles chase balls, because mine love to play with crochet balls filled with a bit of catnip rolled into the stuffing.

I think that Twyla's afghan is the same as that Granny Stripe I'm working on or similar. There's a free tutorial and pattern for it on www.attic24.typepad.com if you need one. She has her tutorials on the left side of her blog if you're interested. I've been using her patterns almost exclusively lately she has so many! Can't wait to see what you start!

The owls are adorable - I have quite an owl collection, love them. All of your crocheting is beautiful - I'm always amazed when I stop by your blog to see all that you've accomplished. I don't do anything like this, but I still feel like I accomplish a lot based on all of the entertaining we do and all of the cooking and planning that goes into those things. :)

Hope that nasty dust gets out of there soon and that sunny, brighter days are ahead for you. <3

I don't know how you survive that ever present dust! It would have put me in the grave a long time ago. You must have strong lungs.

Twyla's afghans' are really great and I like the border she put around the one. This is a clever idea and one we can all relate to ~ er, those of us who have tons of yarn!

Spent the day in the garden in the front yard today and watered. It's so dry here, that we're a bit scared of what summer is going to be like!

Warm hugs (and to Jingles, too)...she sits so CUTE!

I love the way you captured Jingles. Too cute.
With all that dust I can imagine you not wanting to do anything but sit.
Your pieces here for Easter are really pretty.
So enjoyed your visit today. We did have a fun time Saturday. I laughed when you mentioned me throwing the eggs. haha...Girlfriend you can only stoop so much in one afternoon.
Hope the weather clears up soon
Have a wonderful week
