Ginger for Tea on Tuesday

Ginger has been revered in Indian and Chinese civilizations for over 5000 years for its powerful health imparting properties.

Today I am having Ginger & Mandarin tea.

Ginger is said to have properties that ease cramps and nausea; benefit those with circulatory disorders and lessen the pain of rheumatoid arthritis; prevent inflammation of blood vessels in the brain that lead to migraines; and stimulate disgestion.

I wonder if stem ginger baked up in a cookie and covered in dark chocolate has the same health benefits?

For more tea, please stop by Kimmie's place at Art in Red Wagons.

Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

My grandmother would always give us ginger when we got a sick stomach. Ginger with mandarin sounds like a good combination.

I never thought about Ginger in anything except cookies & other sweets. Being I am not a tea drinker I will leave the ginger tea to others!!
Have a Great Day!!

I have no doubt that the ginger cookies have the same health benefits. That looks like a mighty tasty treat. I'm going to look for that tea next time I'm out.
Have a lovely day.

Your tea and cookies looks yummy. Not sure about the healthy effects of the ginger cookies, but I bet they tasted good. :-)

A nice cup of ginger tea helps to warm you on the cold clammy days.. I use it in the winter, here.

Those cookies look mighty good!

I knew ginger helped upset stomachs but didn't know it was useful for RA and migraine...me thinks I need to add a cup of ginger tea to my daily habit. I do like Ginger tea and I keep the organic ginger tablets on hand as, like me, the kids can suffer from car/motion sickness on long drives and it helps.

Not too sure about the health benefits of that chocolate covered cookie...it sounds delicious though. ;)

ooo Tammy
your tea and biscuits look just perfect...
I would certainly be willing to give them a try just in case ;)

I always put some ginger in my homemade yogi tea...the recipe says:
'ginger heals inflammations and removes physical weakness'
maybe I can double the amount
Happy T week to you

Dearest Tammy,

Guess that all forms of ginger will be good! It is funny that of all my siblings (7 of us) only my Mom and I LOVE ginger. She used to bake a ginger cake, using stem ginger from a jar. So good! For car sickness it is very good too. In Indonesia they drink a lot of Té Djahe. Made from fresh ginger and it is so soothing.
Love to you,

Mariette

I was a travel agent before we lost Joshua. I would always recommend ginger if they were afraid of being sea sick.

That tea sounds incredible! I will look for it..and the cookies? Anything covered in chocolate is good for you, so these just have the extra bonus of the ginger! And, I too remember liking ginger ale as a kid..I'll have to see if I still do :-)

Your tea and cookies look delicious. I love ginger and eat it a lot. Candied ginger, cookies, tea and even the pickled ginger at the Sushi eateries. I put it in my cold pasta salads. It just has that unexpected burst of flavor. Enjoy your ginger and stay healthy dear...

Ginger is wonderful ... In sickness and in health :)

And I think the chocolate only enhances it :)

My son drinks this tea every day. me, I love those biscuits. I live only a little way from the Duchy of Cornwall. I'm sure they travel well but I bet they don't last long,

Oh, how I love ginger! Just made myself a little homemade "tea" the other day when my throat was a little wonky...just grated some fresh ginger, poured hot water over it and added some honey...perfect!

Hope you're having a wonderful day, dear friend!

I'm a real tea-a-holic, but I've never heard of tea with ginger! The cookies look delicious! But I don't think they will have the same effect as the tea I'm afraid! Well, who cares, just enjoy them!
Have a lovely week,
Elly
