We awoke to a bright, sunny day with temps in the 80's by afternoon.
A leisurely breakfast of typical Middle Eastern fare (homous, pickles, onions, olives and pita bread) -- and always, always two big mugs of coffee.
Lunch at PF Changs.
This past week, the first ever Taco Bell opened up in Kuwait at The Avenues (which makes my kids very happy). Three guys were walking advertisements. I doubt they needed to do anything to drum up business. It seems the first nite they opened, they were swamped with customers.
Bath & Body Works has come to Kuwait too and I was very happy to come home with a little something to remind me of "home".
At Ikea, we bought a bookshelf for the kids room. They have two middle sized ones that are just taking up space so we got one tall one. That means lots of organizing and moving of furniture today. But first I gotta put the dang thing together. Wish me luck!
Have a super Saturday. Friendship blessings, Tammy

Ok, good luck but I'm sure you won't need it. Although I do hate having to stop to put things together, I like to just jump into the organizing, etc. In the end it will be great! Sounds like a breakfast I would enjoy! I love the picture of the sun, its amazing! Have a wonderful, blessed day.
What a tasty breakfast...must try that myself. Good luck with all the organising today...I'm sure you'll do just fine. :)
what an interesting breakfast! I don't know that I could eat olives for breakfast!! but pf changs for lunch sounds great! good luck with the bookshelf!! xx's
I saw once on your blog about Olives for breakfast and since I rarely ever eat lunch - rather, I eat "lunch-type" foods for breakfast at 7:00 a.m., I tried it and liked it. I had a similar assortment and it's delicious. :)
Love the stores that you visited - favorites of mine, except for Taco Bell, where I never eat - but I can imagine the boys are glad it's there. :)
Hope you're having a fantastic weekend! Today is finally looking like a November day here after a complete month of sunshine and above average, warm temperatures. It's cooler, grey and drizzly. I like it. :)

It's so easy for us to take for granted things like Taco Bell (which my kids would miss, too) and Bath and Body. I'm glad your getting a little slice of home in your faraway land. I don't envy you putting together that bookcase...Good luck! Patty
Wow, I didn't realize you had all of that? Ikea, Pf Changs, B&B works, and now Taco Bell? That should make you feel more at home. :)

Hi Tammy! Sorry I haven't been by your blog lately. Just read your post and it's hard to wrap my head around the fact that there's a Taco Bell; PF Chang's: Ikea and a Bath and Body Works in Kuwait. More and more of the world is becoming "westernized". I LOVE Taco Bell's Taco Salad. And, could you send that 80 degree weather our way? It's getting quite cold around here! Thanks for stopping by my blog, Tammy. Wishing you a great day.
Oh a yummy breakfast,I should live there, lol.I cant believe bath and body works too.Wow nice!
Hope you have a nice rest of your weekend Tammy!
1. Taco Bell.....good luck keepin' the kids outta there!
2. IKEA....there is a HUGE manufacturing complex being built outside of Denver and will be open next year. GINORMOUS fits the description.
3. Bath & BodyWorks....Sensual Amber is my new favorite. Musky and wonderful.
I want to come visit you. Your shopping is awesome!
Good luck with the screwdriver.
Hugs,
Jan
Dear Tammy
Lovely to catch up at the end of the week and hear what you're up to.
As I'm in New Zealand I've not heard of Taco Bell but I've got the gist - tacos!!
Like you Tammy, I have to be organised with the 'real' post as my family in France love finding surprises in their letter box (as of course I do too)!!!
Enjoy your weekend
hugs
Shane
Glad you ate well today! LOVE P.F.Changs...we also have a "casual pf changs here called pei wei by the same company & I could eat every meal there! & your breakfast! YUM! Fun to hear about where you go over there!
It's so nice to hear the boys will have their Taco Bell... I love shopping at Bath 7 Body when they have sales. Rain here this evening and I hear across the lake in MN and WI they are getting snow. Did you see Gwen's new blog?
I'm not sure about the breakfast.. Mine is usully coffee and a fiber bar lately.
Hugs to all Aunt Elaine

I amazes me how small the world is getting. You have a Taco Bell! My head is shaking.
We don't! (there is one in the next town)
Little touches of home. I'm sure you treasure them Tammy. Diane
I would be so happy to have many comforts of home opening up. Glad you temps are finally down to a normal range...enough your FALL!
I am surprised at all the stores as well..I must admit..I am not very knowledgable about Kuwait..so glad you're putting us in you rpocket and showing us your life there :-)
Oh, I'll have to try your breakfast..I LOVE hummus!
Ikea is an hour's drive from here, and P.F. Chang's (my personal favorite) is about 45 minutes, so you're doing better than us! Of course, we do have lots of Taco Bells, and my kids love to eat there :-)
Blessings,
Marcia
Hi Tammy! My favorite scent at Bath & Body is "Freesia" which they discontinued but sometimes in January bring out for a limited time. Have a great day!
So glad you have some stuff there to remind you of "home"...I am sure it is comforting to have some of life's simple pleasures close to your new home now.
Thanks as always for stopping by my blog! Have a great day!
Blessings, Grace
