Black Friday and Birthday Wishes

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving day filled with food, family, friends and fun. It's the day afer Thanksgiving and today I would like to wish QueenMotherMamaw a very happy birthday.

Hope lovely surprises
Are coming your way,
To make your
Birthday a
Wonderful day.
If you have time, you can stop by to leave your own birthday wish for her at http://queenmothermamaw.blogspot.com
It's also Black Friday in the States. I hope you are all home safe and sound and keeping warm.

It's another cloudy, cool day in Kuwait. Staying home weather for sure. We did venture out for lunch at The Peacock for Chinese food. It's located at SAS hotel just down the road from us.

I started crocheting last nite.

These can be used for dishrags or potholders or even hot pads. I will be donating baked goods on Monday to Operation Hope for a bake sale Tuesday nite and will use these to wrap up cookies and such.

They look like little holiday presents and make a nice display.
Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, I hope you are healthy and happy. Blessings, Tammy

Hi T!! Thank you for your well wishes. I would much rather stay come and cozy than venture out in to Black Friday!!! More and more we are making homemade gifts which is a wonderful and painless way to save money!!

I love your little crochet squares. They will be perfect for the bake sale!!

Have a great day! :-)

Hi Tammy! Its cool and cloudy here too! I've been inside all day but did take a break to go online to Lion Brand yarns website and downloaded a crochet ruffle scarf pattern! I guess we are both in the mood for needlework!! I bought some cotton yarn and intended a while ago to make some dishcloths/bath mitts! Never did though!lol Chinese food sounds good after Turkey and more turkey and ...!lol I never do black Friday and am enjoying just being home today! Hope the sun shines for you this weekend - I like your blog redo too!! Sincerely, Jeannette

Dear Tammy, in Austria it's also cool and cloudy ... and our two cats like to stay at home, too (your cat is really looking like my Maxwell! The same expression on her face!) Cute crocheting-work you have done!!! Hugs, Traude

Hello, my sweet and kind friend,
A special happy birthday to Queen Mother Mamaw (I love her title!!) No, I did not venture out today. In fact, I have most of my holiday shopping done. I hate large, pushy crowds. Your pot holder/dish rags make the cutest of wrappings! Great idea, and I love the colors you are using for them. Much love to you! Vicki

Hi Tammy! Glad you had a Happy Thanksgiving. It was a pretty warm one here in Lodi Ca. Stayed away from the sales today! Put up the tree and decorated. Love your idea of wrapping up the cookies in the crochet. Very cute! I am sure those will sell at the bake sale!

I need to crochet again. My grandmother taught me, but I haven't made anything in about 7 years. Glad your having some rain. We need the rain here too but then again, we also get the mud slides.. it's a dilemma. Glad you had a good turkey day...I did and I actually ate a little something too. As far as my blog look...I'm very fickle about designing it so I change it up once in a while...I kinda do that with my house too....

Hi T,
I don't go shopping on black Friday. It's not my cup of tea. I'd rather be home eating all the leftovers.
Hugs,
June
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

So glad we don't have black Friday here....but wait, we do get the Eid rush so that's just as bad I think. I really love how you Christmased up your page and the songs of wonderful, especially the Bob Geldof song. I adore that song. I'm just leaving this page on to listen to the music:) I am convinced now that you really have to teach me how to crochet. Very cute and inventive ideas you have for those potholders and for a good cause also. Peace and blessings your way for a truly giving person.
