Ramadan started on February 18th and to mark the occasion I stitched a Ramadan crescent moon. It is an important symbol since its sighting marks the beginning (and end) of the holy month.
February 25th is Kuwait's National Day.
And the 26th is Liberation Day.
So those 2 days are always holidays here which is great since the 26th also marks another special occasion ..
my birthday!
This year I turned 60 and finally did something I've wanted to try for awhile -- tatreez on a copy of an old photo. Let me just say, it was no easy task but I'm glad I did it.
Only managed to read 3 books in February but that's because White Malice (which I highly recommend) was 523 pages long and took me about half the month to get through. Also stitched a bookmark -- the main motif is Qalb/Heart and is a design from Ramla in Palestine.
Never imagined that the end of the month (actually March 1st in my part of the world) would go so wrong because of warmongering narcissists. Damn them all!

Do be safe!
Belated birthday wishes.
Happy birthday to you! Health and peace to you on this bright day.
Happy Birthday, and I hope this year is your best one yet :)
I don't know why my comment was anonymous - sorry.
