Crafting at Magnet

“In a world where news of inhumanity bombards our sensibilities, where grasping for things goes so far beyond our needs, where time is squandered in busyness, it is a pleasure and a privilege to pause for a look at handiwork, to see beauty amidst utility, and to know that craft traditions begun so long ago serve us today.”
― John Wilson

A gray, drizzly Saturday weather-wise, but there was joyful crafting and sharing inside Magnet with Kuwait Crafters.
I shared my second simple ripple that I finished and worked on more curtain ring ornaments.
Aruna shared the scarf she finished, some very cute Christmas crochet, and started work on a second carnation.
Alifiya crocheted a name banner for her new home and has started a shawl using a very large hook with chunky yarn.
Nisrin is wearing the 3D cowl she recently finished and started making little lucky coin pouches that are traditionally given out to friends and family during one of their celebrations.
Najlaa is handsewing a hexie quilt that she hopes to finish for an exhibition in the spring.
And Linda, who actually started the Kuwait Crafters group many years ago by posting meet-ups to Ravelry, is always knitting socks.  She used her leftover yarn bits to make birds of happiness for each of us.

Sending happy wishes your way,

How fun! Those are some talented ladies. Everything is so beautiful. I think the sock yarn birds are my favorite in this post but I love it all. Thank you for sharing the talents of these lovely friends.
Blessings,
Betsy

Hello Tammy, I want to be able to socks, but I haven't learned yet. I've seen great handcrafted photos again. Pouch, patchwork and those little birds are of particular interest. Great productions, I wish you a good week... :)

I think that crafting with friends, with yummy things to eat and drink, is a perfect way to spend a grey, drizzly day. x
