Day Two in Toronto

Early morning was spent with coffee in hand enjoying squirrel acrobats in my BILs backyard.
The weather was lovely and cool so hubby and I headed out for a walk before we went to his sister's for the day.
Daffodils are definitely something we don't see in Kuwait.
 Moon spotting.
We had a late breakfast with the family where we mostly sat and talked for many hours.
So on the way home that afternoon, my BIL dropped me and his wife off  at a park close to where they live so we could stretch our legs and walk the rest of the way to the house.
Sights along the way.

I was happy the weather was better and they were happy that winter had at long last released its grip on them.
Have a beautiful day wherever you are in the world.

What a great trip! I have never been to Toronto. It looks nice. It must feel totally different from your home. How I feel when I am in New Mexico. :) Kit

I'm just catching up with your posts, Tammy. I loved going into Canada when we lived in Northern NY, but I never made it all the way to Toronto. I've always heard it's such a beautiful, modern city and I would love to see it someday. Looking forward to seeing more of your trip!

I have seen a squirrel dashing around here recently, too, but I have especially loved seeing a dove near our house lately and hearing her peaceful cooing. Along with having warmer weather and lots of Rhododendrons in bloom, it is so lovely here. Thanks for sharing some of what you enjoyed seeing on your trip and letting me enjoy it too :-) xx

Another 'Walk with Tammy'. Love it. You have a way of making the simple seem so special … the eighth shot is a killer. I can relate to winter 'releasing its grip'. I do think we experience more joy in the spring because of the winter!

I'm so glad you were able to see flowers that you usually don't get to enjoy. I know how much flowers mean to you. The weather looks as if it cooperated nicely too.
BLessings,
Betsy

Your coffee mug made me laugh, it is sure to confuse the squirrels. Enjoy your visit, Tammy.

Thanks for a lovely walk. Your pictures are amazing. My dearest and I have started a new walk routine, as he is dealing with some health issues. Walking is such good medicine.

That looks like a very nice trip, Tammy. I enjoyed seeing the sights along with you. I had to laugh at the squirrel antics. They are quite the little acrobats, aren't they?

YOur trip sounds wonderful Tammy. The best part is connecting with family. I hope you are enjoying your day. It is raining here, I love it!

Kuwait isn't that much different that the U.S.... you just get ideas how things would be other places and then get surprised when it is very much like your own neck of the woods lol

Oh Canada...my native country! Yep, I was born there. Though only lived there three months before my parents moved back to the States. I still have aunts, uncles and cousins there (my grandparents lived there for many years before they passed away) and I also have a couple of good friends who live there. But have I been back to visit? Nope, not in many, many years. It's probably strange for you to see daffodils after not experiencing them in Kuwait. Hope you had a wonderful visit with your in-laws.

Dearest Tammy,
How special for being there right at the time when spring flowers bloom; a special bonus.
And also how lovely for walking with your sister-in-law while the brothers had some time alone talking.
Such intimate time is priceless and will be remembered for a long time to come.
Sending you hugs,
Mariette

Oh - SIGH - dearest Tammy,
Canada is a country that I also want to visit soon - I hope we can manage it next year or the year after... (and I think, Colorado is pretty, too! Just yesterday I saw a TV-movie and the main protagonist lived in Denver, Colorado. Wonderful the Rockies there!)
This was a very nice Canadian spring-walk with you! :-)
Sorry to read that your mother broke her hip! I hope she is doing better after surgery and rehabilitation!!!
Hugs from here,
Traude

Hi Tammy,

It was neat seeing my hometown of Toronto through your eyes. Your BIL's neighbourhood looks very familiar to my old neck of the woods, which was Unionville, a little hamlet in Markham, where Canada geese also wobbled down the streets.

Have a lovely visit!

Yes Canada is on my list of countries to see and Colorado is one part of the USA that I would also like to visit.
I'm playing 'catch-up' with the blogosphere at the moment and have had a very enjoyable time reading your last few blog posts. I especially enjoy your photography, whether it is architecture, nature or those amazing shots of acrobatic squirrels and April lightning storms. What a worry that your mother needed surgery. What a shame that it happened after you left. I can't imagine the torment of having a loved one in need on the other side of the world. I'm sure she will feel your love regardless across the miles. Are you planning a return trip already?

Awesome shot of the Squirrel! Most of the time
they are too fast to get caught on camera.

Nice walk you had. I guess you enjoyed cooler
weather when it´s sooo hot in Kuwait now! :o

I didn´t know you don´t have Daffodils in Kuwait.
But now I do. LOL

Happy Friday to you! Is it Eid now?

Sussie
