Gorgeous weather beckoned me out after school today.
I didn't realize the next full moon is due in just a few days, but all of a sudden I looked up and there it was right ahead of me.
I think I might have had a few other folks looking up, too, wondering what I was taking pictures of.
I walked for an hour, up and down and all around.
Dates still hanging on though only good for the birds at this point.
I purposely walked back to the street with the one house that has such beautiful flowers.
And then followed the moon back home again.
Sending warm wishes to all who are covered in snow.
Happy February!

beautiful photos Tammy
It is so interesting to see your walks and to see all the different sights that are so unfamiliar to me! xx
It's snowing here again today but so far only staying on the grass. I like it that way. Beautiful pictures of the moon and flowers. You are so good at going out walking about and I like going along with you.
Blessings,
Betsy
Just caught up on your news, Tammy, and so enjoyed the many beautiful photos. Your neighborhood is so pretty: the stone work and cosmos and dates! So glad you were able to drive safely in the fog, and I love seeing all the doilies you made. Using the material from your son's jeans as a backing for a doily was clever and effective in displaying it. We are having cold rain today so I especially was warmed by your sunny photos : ) I hope to knit while watching the Super Bowl today. Wishing you and yours a happy February as well! xx
I love taking walks with you.
As always, I love the pictures and your walks. And that sun....wow.
Look at those dates! And that blue sky! Totally jealous. =)
Snow hasn't started yet, but school has already been canceled for tomorrow...another 8-12 inches expected...I love your pictures..it is so pretty where you live...
I LOVE the moon and especially when it is full...so magical. Great weather and photos on your walk.
Dearest Tammy,
What an enormous weight of dates and the birds will certainly feast on them!
Lovely flowers, what a joy to walk past such sights.
Enjoy wherever you walk and soon we will be more walking around and biking when the weather improves.
Hugs,
Mariette
Pretty photos!
I too was taking photos of the moon in daylight the other afternoon, with my super zoom lens though since the iphone can't bring it in nearly as close without being fuzzy.
Chicago really received a good-size snowfall - here downstate, 2 hours south, not such a big storm. I guess while they got over a foot, we only got about 4 or 5 inches but it was such a wet snow that it immediately shrunk down to just a couple of inches. It was great snowman building snow and that's what daughter I did this afternoon. Once again - I wasn't relaxing this weekend but keeping pretty active, but my "condition" seems to have improved some in the past 2 days. :)
I'm off yet again tomorrow - I have an appointment in the middle of the day and am not driving down to work for just a few hours, considering the roads are still a little hazardous. So, have a good week!
Linda
We lost our super bowl game and I am bummed - I wish I'd gone for a walk instead! :-) Yummy looking dates.. lucky birds! Love the moon shots. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
What a beautiful walk and I saw the moon before it got dark in here also all the way in the other side of the world. Isn't fantastic that we cam both be so far away yet see the same natural wonder at the same time ... I think it makes us even closer.
Lovely photo's Tammy, I love a full moon it was shining in right through my hall window last night so bright and beautiful. Love those trainers by the way. Congratulations too your christmas decorations were one of the most clicked links in Decembers stash link party. :) xx
Always enjoy your lovely daily captures of the world around you Tammy! Happy start of the week!
Such a beautiful walk! I love the design in the tile on those steps! And, the flowers... and the moon. Thank you! blessings ~ tanna
ps I'm glad you do have a pile of things left to repurpose... makes me feel a little better about myself. LOL!
What a beautiful walk! What fruit is that hanging from that stalk? Do you know/ Very interesting as the part that has dried looks like raisins. We have no snow here but I wish we did as it is gray and gloomy and the snow would cover up the dead terrain and brighten things up! LOL! My walks are all the same color this time of year it seems. Maybe this week we'll see some blue sky and sunshine. It's been a particularly drab and cold winter here. Thanks for reminding me what a nice day looks like. LOL!
Loved all the photos, Tammy, but especially one of the dates. My hubs LOVES Medijool dates. Susan
I was looking at the moon last night and noticing how it's almost full again. It sure has been shining bright and is at just the right spot right now to shine through a window above our front door. So cool how we can live on opposite sides of the world and see the same moon. But, it looks like it's showing up at very different times for you...during the day than here...at night. Great pics of your walk!
I stopped to admire the moon glowing through a cloud while I was putting the goats to bed last night. So pretty, through the branches.
On my way out in a moment for tonight's evening chores, but I won't be seeing the moon tonight as it will be hidden behind the still-falling snow. Always important to take the time to appreciate the beauty of the world whenever we can! Tonight, instead of the moon, it will be the happy faces of little goats, and big goats too, enjoying their hay. Always makes me smile :)
We went for a walk this evening and noticed the moon, full or almost full, veiled behind clouds but still very visible. Love the flowers you found along your pathway.
I am so glad you like to take us all on walks with you. We had some snow that stuck during the day on Sunday then was melted off by the next morning. The northwest is NOT getting any snow and very little rain....not good for the spring and summer to come.
I love the mosaic tile work the most
