According to the Farmer's Almanac, this month's full moon is dubbed the Strawberry Moon because it coincides with strawberry season. It is also sometimes referred to as the Strawberry Honey Moon because of it's golden hue. And since it coincides with the summer solstice, it was the lowest in the sky that it will be this year. I was lucky to be able to open my balcony door, look to the left and there it was in all its glory. Unfortunately, my picture taking skills don't do it justice.

Even on my walk this morning, a week later, the moon is still visible.
And, as you can see, we have brilliant blue skies once again.
Have a terrific Thursday!

you must have a great camera and photographic skills, as you took the moon pics so well! I never seem to be able to capture good moon pics, maybe I need a good camera. We have the shortest day here soon! Thise blue skies are so much nicer than those hazy dusty ones you get over there! enjoy!
Pretty pictures of the moon Tammy. Hope you are enjoying your summer. Heather
Beautiful moon shots. I find it impossible to photograph the moon and give it completely what it deserves. It doesn't quite translate to picture, but it's still beautiful. Your pictures are awesome! And the moon in real life is even more awesome still! We've had too many clouds so I haven't been able to see it at all. Happy day to you!!!
I can't believe I'm first to comment! That's a first! LOL! I love your moon pictures...all I get when I try is a white circle with a black background. I think I need a better camera or lessons or both.
I've been walking quite a bit and it actually gives me more energy! You go girl! Is your son home from the U.S. or is he staying the summer? Are you crocheting still?
Your moon pics came out great, Tammy :-) Thanks for sharing. Take care.
Lovely photos!
GORGEOUS Moon photos!! : )
We're off in the wee hours tomorrow, heading to beautiful Virginia.
Have a nice weekend, but then again.... aren't all your summer days weekends now? ;)
Kind regards always,
Linda
Glad to hear the dust storm was short-lived. Beautiful moon photos! xo
Dearest Tammy,
Hope those blue skies will last you through your Friday day off! What a difference the weather can make and above all that nasty dust.
You took great photos of the special moon.
Sending you hugs, just was outside on the driveway, combing and brushing our cats; they beg for it as I do bribe them with treats...

Wow, great moon shots.. I find that I do much better with moons when there is light still in the sky -- if I take night ones it just a big white glare in blackness. Enjoy your summer! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
It's fun to track the moon - we missed the honey moon with cloudy skies - but there is plenty of summer ahead to catch the night time glories. Your summer blue sky looks beautiful!
Ahhh, so beautiful. You are a fantastic photographer and I so appreciate you sharing with us. The longest day of the year tomorrow. Daylight for 18 hours! Yippee! A perfect day to be at the lake.
Blessings,
Betsy
Beautiful moon shots. We've had cloudy skies lately so no moon. But it IS strawberry season and I went out to a local U-pick patch earlier in the week. Yummy!
So glad the blue skies have returned.
Blogger is acting up - I'll try commenting again.
Your moon photos are beautiful. No moon here due to cloudy skies this past week. But it IS strawberry season and I went out to a local U-pick patch earlier in the week. So delicious!
Glad you have blue skies again. Enjoy your walks!
Your moon photos certainly look fabulous to me!
Aren't we lucky to have a chance at seeing it every month weather willing...
Happy Weekend to you and yours dear Tammy
