Treasure Hunting

Whenever I am out on my walks, my eyes are always peeled for treasures to bring home.  Smooth stones that can be transformed with crochet.  Feathers. Leaves and weeds that can be pressed.  Anything of interest that catches my eye.  I find that doing that turns my walks into an adventure rather than a chore.
Yesterday I even found a perfect little tile and a stick that can be used for hanging either a cross-stitch or crochet project.
This evening I happily painted and crocheted and have started a nature journal, too.  I'm no artist, but I'm having fun and that's all that matters.

Happy Tuesday!

Oh I love how you are personalizing your journal. Love the drawings and the quotes. Your little rocks and tile turned into quite a nice arrangement. Loved it.

BTW thanks for the tip on Monkey Pic...I had never noticed the options.

I think you're very much an artist! Lovely!
I like similar treasures - stones, shells, etc., and if you came to my house you'd see them in jars in various places.

Love your nature journal, Tammy. What a great idea. I love that you are having fun. That's what life is about, right? We need to find ways to perk ourselves up in this world. That's why I love blogging, too! To meet people like you! Kindred spirits. Susan

I love your beautiful pieces of artwork Tammy. The crocheted rocks are so sweet. I really need to make one too. I have the perfect stone that I found on the beach in Oregon. Do you just start crocheting however your imagination takes you?
The tile is wonderful and I am completely blown away by your journal and the way you used your found feathers. My imagination is severely lacking because I would nebpver in a million years have thought to do this all by myself. :-)
I'm so happy you're enjoying your time off.
Blessings,
Betsy

Oh, I like your drawings, Tammy, and I like your blog! So glad you dropped by (I replied on my blog as well) so that I could discover your wonderful posts. I once had a book on keeping a nature journal, and at that time I was too busy and too discouraged to think I could do it ... so I eventually donated the book to my library. But you inspire me to put it toward the top of my bucket list! Blessings, Bess
