Success

I slept and I dreamed that life is all joy. I woke and I saw that life is all service. I served and I saw that service is joy.
Kahlil_Gibran

I had such a great time with the girls this morning (there were about 10 in all).  Everyone was eager to learn and as one would master a round of stitches, they would help the others out.  It was such an encouraging and collaborative experience.  We even managed to start on the little Christmas stockings but I forgot to take pictures.

It was a very successful, productive morning.
One that brought me (and I hope them) great joy!

Best wishes and blessings,

Dearest Tammy, I'm so happy about your beautiful crochet results!
Incidentally, I have pretty (fleamarket-)napkin rings in this style - but I think your work is intended as a Christmas decoration, right? Loved the words of Kahlil Gibran, they are so wise!

Soon I will go on a journey again (to Caiforna & surrounding "places of touristic interest" :o)), but next week I'll start a giveaway again. Would make me happy if you would join!!
Hugs & blessings to you and your family!

Tammy I'm so glad your "service project" was so successful. Notice I used the educational term. One of the most rewarding parts of my many years of teaching was when my students participated in service projects. So rewarding to see how helping others in turn is so rewarding for the giver (student).

Enjoy your weekend.

Dear Tammy,
That is a lovely quote. It is great that your project has started off so well. I am happy that you are finding joy in your service because you are certainly doing a lovely thing. And I hope these skills will serve the girls all through their lives. All the very best to you and to the girls.

I am very impressed with this service you are doing for others less fortunate. A pretty handmade wreath ornament can last through centuries of being used and treasured. A great way to "Pay-It-Forward". I'm proud of you.

((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Hi Tammy...I'm sure the girls had a great time. Just knowing someone else cares and is willing to teach them crochet is very important.

Loved the little Christmas tree out of crocheted circles. That is really, really darling.

Great work, Tammy! You will be especially blessed for each moment you spend in service to others. At least I've found that to be true. Susan

Looks very meaningful. I like the quote too; I tend to view it as what I do as a Mom and Wife for my family - a weekend spent together, even though I might have rather relaxed at home... I planned the activities, we did, and everyone had a blessed time. :)

Have a great new week.
