Weekend Happenings

A lovely sunset on Thursday marked the end of another day and the beginning of the weekend.

Yesterday we had lunch at Buffalo's Cafe. According to their website, there are 50+ restaurants in the US and Puerto Rico. Kuwait was the first in the Middle to East to open a chain in 2001. Since then, 3 more have opened and there is one in Saudi Arabia.

This one used to be in a smaller building but they've moved to a bigger and brighter space which makes it much more inviting.

I had Juanita's Fajita Salad with grilled shrimp. (I wonder who Juanita is.)

A trip to Bida'a Antiques after lunch. I just love browsing even if I don't buy a thing.

It's been a quiet day. Our internet has been very slow lately so I am lucky to have gotten these photos to upload. Hope you are having a great day in your corner of the world. Peace & blessings, Tammy

Hi Tammy...Restaurant looked nice. Glad you are having a nice day. Mine's been super, too. Went to home and garden tour of a New England poet's home, Edna St. Vincent Millay. Loved it! Will post about it at some point. Have a fun weekend! Susan

Happy weekend Tammy. Your salad looks really good. I always enjoy taking a picture tour of your latest adventure. Antiques are lovely to look at and inspiring to think of the people who have breathed life into them through the years. Take care. :-)

Your lunch looks good, was it spicy? I know you like hot foods. I had onion rings at a resteraunt today... I know...bad girl!! Your antiques store sure is different from the ones here. Hope you have a great day!
Love ya!

Hi Tammy,

What a wonderful weekend you are having, always great to go out for lunch and do a spot of antique looking. The shrimp and fajita salad looks delicious.
Our Internet was slow too, Son on holiday from Uni and we had used up the quota, he is now back at Uni, thank goodness.

Dearest Tammy,

Lovely place to eat, even with the odd Juanita's gesture for a certain dish... That antique shop looks quite interesting, would love to browse there too!
Have a lovely week ahead and hope the weather will be okay as well.

Lots of love,

Mariette

PS just uploaded on my blog my TV interview...

I've never heard of Buffalo's Cafe .... But if I lived in Kuwait I think I would eat there ALOT! I love a good Tex-Mex style place and I think I woul feel less homesick for the states :)

I take our Internet service for granted I think! I hope yours gets cured of what's ailing it! That would get old really fast!!!

I haven't heard of Buffalos, but your salad sure looks yummy. Will have to research that a little. Looks like a great day. I love the footstools in the Antique store. Was that fabric hangin on the wall? Beautiful. Thanks for your visit to my blog. Hope you are having a great weekend.
