Blogging Buddies Up Close and Personal

This past Tuesday I was so fortunate to meet up with Susan from A Circle of Buttons.

We met at The Little Traveler which is in Geneva IL, a picturesque area of old homes that have been turned into shops and restaurants.

We had lunch together, talked nonstop and then she took me to her favorite yarn shop where, yes, we bought yarn.

Susan was as lovely as I knew she would be from corresponding with her on our blogs.

She gifted me with handmade gifts -- a beautiful bird and broach. I love them both! Thanks so much Susan.

The day was absolutely gorgeous! In fact, since we've been in the States, there's been nothing but blue skies.

Zack wanted to know why the clouds here are so big and puffy because they sure don't look like that in Kuwait.

We are enjoying the weather, visiting with family and friends. Hope everyone's July has gotten off to a great start. Best wishes to one and all! Tammy

What gorgeous place, the sweet present is too cute. Your music is perfectly chosen, as always and the States, as living in the States?
Hugs for a wonderful warm weekend, Tammy. xxx

Your photos are just great! And to meet your blogger friend is like frosting on the cake. Love that yarn store (drooling) and your photo is so fun. That bike is pretty special and you two are beautiful!
Sun...it's a GOOD THING! Lifts the spirits and makes you smile. It apparently knew you were home!
Your boys are getting tall and that shot of them is one for the scrapbook! How cute they are.
Happy week and happy sun!
Hugs,
Jan

How exciting that you got to meet up with one of your blogging buddies. Sounds like a good time was had and great weather to boot. Even though we've been friends for the longest, I still get excited meeting up with you in different parts of the world even though it might be the same place.

I'm so glad you're having a great time Tammy, and what fun to meet a blogging friend in person. I'd love to meet you someday. We do have clouds like that here, so I guess that's a difference between our desert and yours. Maybe we get them because we're so close to the mountains.
I hope you continue to enjoy your trip and get to do many fun things while you're here.
Blessings,
Marcia

OH, I know the yarn shop you were in. Did you find the sale in the back left corner, right by the baby yarn in the chicken coops. So, how was the food at The Little Traveler actually. I've always wanted to eat there. Bet, you are glad to be seeing the blue skies of the midwest. Enjoy your stay.

Hot enough out there for you yet,
Kate

I am not even going to ask if you are having a nice vacation, because it is obvious from the pictures. How wonderful that you got a chance to meet up with one of your blogging friends. Amazing how the world can be such a small place... The town with all the old houses looks like someplace I could enjoy. The yarn shop made me think of "the shop on Blossom Street". I think it would look a lot like that.
Glad the weather is being so cooperative for you. Mom and Dad said it has been in the 90s this week in NY, so get ready. Hopefully it will cool off a bit before we invade. HA!
Hope you continue enjoying your time!

Love,
Renee
