The Days That Got Away

On Saturday a friend and I made plans to meet for coffee and then go to a holiday bazaar.
The coffee plans worked out.
But when we got to the venue for the bazaar, we realized we were a day late.  Oops!
Since weekends are the only time Sam and I are able to walk,
we headed out Saturday afternoon on yet another path.
Did you ever think you'd see a reindeer in Kuwait?
Weather has been all over the place the past several days.
From warm and muggy, to gray, cloudy and sunny.
All in the same day.

There has been cooking (gozleme) and a little crafting.
My rug was sheared at Sunday night's class.
What a difference it made.  So exciting to see the pattern emerge.
And last night was Zack's holiday band concert.
Busy, busy days indeed!

Hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Hi Tammy,
Looks like much enjoyment! :)

Your rug is coming along wonderfully and you have so much talent.

As for weather, we're coming close to breaking a record for most days without snow coming into Winter. We've had none much to my dismay :( The weather has been mild for these parts and mostly just sunny days. I would love a great snowstorm right around Christmas but they're saying the chances of that happening are slim to nothing. Still have green plants in the yard and flowers as I have had for the past many years. Natural climate change for sure.

Love, Linda

Hi Tammy, your rug looks like a fun project and is coming along beautifully. The gozleme, sounds good, I'm guessing the yeast in the yogurt makes it rise. Our weather has been inconsistent here as well. Hoping for snow. Take care, Heather

Busy times but it all looks like good fun, Tammy!
I wanted to tell you that I've tried the crochet stars that you shared... the first one I made came out with 5 and 1/2 points, so I tried it again and it came out right. I'm going to buy some different yarn & make the garland! :)
Have a happy one,
Zuzu

Coffee with a friend is the best. Love the logo on the tray!

Busy time of year for everyone with kids. I remember that time. It was amazing I got out Christmas cards!

Have a slow week, girl.

Dear Tammy
I can imagine how excited you were seeing the reindeer all hitched ready for his journey - made you feel at home?!
Your little crochet Christmas tree bag is very sweet to fill with treats.
We have a rug maker in our midst now - it looks wonderful and you must be feeling tickled pink!

It gets worse the older you get! I'm always getting appointments and dates wrong!!! The reindeer looks very comfortable there and I think your rug is coming along beautifully. Diane

Your rug is looking good, I made a few in my time but not very detailed too hard.
The weather in Kuwait sounds like the weather in Sydney at the moment we have hot, cold and rain all on the same day only thing missing is snow and that never happens here.

You are doing such a variety of things... interesting and as a bonus you spot a reindeer!
Great recipe that you shared; love anything with spinach!
Indeed, the rug looks great after having had that beauty treatment.

Your rug is gorgeous - such a difference once sheared and the pattern and colors show how vibrant it will be!

Yes busy days - but thanks for sharing great pics of your area and especially the band concert. I'm attending my granddaughter's choral concerts - so many at this time of year, but the kids love to get support and encouragement.

Will be off home soon - forgive lack of comments but I'll try to keep up.

Happiest of holidays dear Tammy.

Your rug is beautiful!!
but I have to say that I relish your view of the water - that aqua blue just goes on forever. Do people go swimming at all? Or would that be strange?
