Rolling Right Along

Crafting has continued throughout the past week.
My sampler rug doesn't look like much from the front.
It will get a trim at our next meeting on Sunday.
But from the backside you can see the pattern emerging.
I was disappointed to see that my weft shows up in a few places.
Must not have packed it down enough.
Stars were made using a pattern shared by Becca.
I held together a thin white cotton yarn and silver crochet thread to make them sparkle.
A new pattern found on a blog I came across last week which is now lost in the history of my old laptop.
Another Christmas sock using Angie's pattern.
And some baking, too.
Mexican Wedding Cookies.
Yum!
Crocheting and baking will continue throughout the weekend.
Probably should do some cleaning, too.
And browsing through this free online magazine.
Hope you are having a lovely day!

I love the rug, really an amazing thing to watch materialize. I am still all about stars, but have not had much time this week. Working and cleaning are consuming my time. Hope you have a fantastic day.

Oh the rug is going to be beautiful. Great colors.

What dute sparkly stars. I cooked the last of the pumpkins I had for decorations in Fall, and made 5 loaves of Pumpkin-date-chocolate chip bread..labled it and put it my neighbors freezer, as I don't have room and what to get my Christmas baking done early.
Nice neighbor... she will get a loaf! HaHa

That loom stuff looks difficult!
Your stars are so pretty with the silver sparkly!
I've had the whole week off, and have done more crochet, and baking rather than house cleaning! Lol

Thanks for the online link to the magazine, too.

Dearest Tammy,
You have at least tried to weave and now appreciate even more those that do weave rugs for a living. Life is never easy on them.
Quite a lot of stars you've produced and I like the glitter by combining two yarns.
Enjoy your December month and sip your tea in a cozy setting!
Hugs,
Mariette

That rug is going to be a family heirloom! I've made so many things over the years, it's fun to know they'll pass on to my kids.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Tammy, you are a dedicated crafter! but really, it must be a hard work to weave the carpet? thumbs up to your patience:)
the snowflakes and stars you made are pretty, surely your home looks great too during these holidays:)you seem to feel better now:) Here got cold so much, so we are more for snug evenings at home rather than outings:)Take care!

Wow! Your rug looks amazing, Tammy! And I love your little crochet stars. :)
I just started crocheting again (or, actually, relearning how) a couple of weeks ago. So I'm bookmarking the instructions for the little stars - I love the idea of using a little sparkle in them.
I did some cleaning yesterday and am going to finish up a few new Christmas crafts this weekend & then start decorating.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Zuzu

I'm so impressed with that rug you are weaving. The design is lovely. And all those crochet pieces are beautiful.

Have you seen the lacy yarn scarves made with lacy yarn. My firend made one and I found a video online showing how to make them. I ran to JoAnn's yesterday and bought a skein of the yarn and finished the little lacy scarf in less than an hour. I'll post a pic on my blog later today.

Have a great weekend.

Wow - you've done a lot on your rug. It's going to be so pretty (and a family heirloom).

Mexican wedding cakes are one of my favorite cookies and I only make them at Christmas time. We call them Swedish wedding cakes though. (they have so many different names)

Happy weekend to you :)
