Let Me Be Your Teddy Bear!

Today was a short day at school. 8:30 am to 12:30 pm for training and then I went to lunch with my friend Leslie. Chinese food! Yum! I didn't get anything done yesterday and computer is still not always cooperating, so thought I would share with you the 4 and only 4 teddies that I ever made. I crocheted them about 4 years ago. Each one had a name and a poem that went with it when I gave them as gifts. I should have kept copies but didn't. I honestly don't know how I made them or if I could ever do it again. I keep thinking I would like to try but just haven't done so yet.

"A teddy bear is your childhood wrapped up in faded yellow fur, and as such, he commands affection long after he is out grown."

"Age simply doesn't enter into it! The older the friend, the more he is valued, particularly when he shows so visibly the characteristics that we all look for in friends. You have only to look at a genuine teddy's face to see at once the loyalty, common sense, and above all, dependability behind it."

"Teddy bears don't need hearts as they are already stuffed with love."

Oh I love that saying. You are right there is nothing like a teddy bear to soothe the soul. You did a great job. I love the header and especially the background on your blog. Blessings

Hi Tammy,
thanks for stopping by and leaving your nice commment. Yes, that throw is fab. Love it and what's more it that it looks just right wherever you place it.
How cute your crocheded teddy bears!! That's true, they do not need to have a heart as they are stuffed with LOVE . I do not crochet teddy bears but love teddy bears all the same. My daughter, who is now 13, still has all of her childhoood teddy bears, and until a year ago or so she also kept and treasured the one that had been mine when I was a little child and had been passed down to her.
Have a good day!

I remember when I got mine, the one with the green and yellow. He sits along side the one Renee made for me to keep it company. I wish I knew how to do that to so I could make one for you guys and then we could have a set of "Charlie's Bears".

Hello Tammy
Thanks for steering me over here, I am going to enjoy reading your blog.
Love your teddy bears and love your poems.

We both seem to be walking the same path and spreading a little love around the universe.

When I find the time I am going to start another blog for all my favourite quotes.
Like you, I have collected so many and to have them all in one place will be like having a treasure chest.

Take care
:)

Rose sits on a seat of honor, my little sister's maple high chair along with my other bears (including Edna Bear). I still have the poem you wrote when you gave her to me, and remember it touched me almost as much as the bear. How nice to see your bears in pictures!! I still have the pattern we used for her somewhere...

Love,
Renee
