Thankful Thursday and Seven Truths

I hope everyone is having a terrific Thursday. This award came to me from Mary at Vintage Comfort

I am to share seven truths about myself and then pass it on -- so here goes.
1. I'm disorganized! Everyone thinks I'm very organized. I'm not! I feel like I'm a big mess most of the time. (And I wonder where Zack got it from!)
2. I am such a procrastinator, always waiting til the last minute to get things done, always wanting more time. (This does not help with the disorganization.)
3. I do not like speaking in front of huge groups. (I've done it before, I just don't like it. My knees shake and my voice quivers.)
4. I am a homebody! (Some people can't understand that, but I much prefer the comfort of my own space to do my own thing -- unless I'm travelling!)
6. I love to travel -- visiting new places and trying new foods.
7. I love to give gifts, to everyone, all the time, for no reason at all. (But because I am such a procrastinator, I never feel like I make a good presentation.)
7. I am very strong-willed (some call it just plain stubbornness -- my mom says I have been independent since I started walking so maybe that has something to do with it.)
It's hard coming up with seven things about yourself that are truths. I pass this one to QueenMotherMamaw at queenmothermawm.blogspot.com, since she sent me one the other day. :)
My cousin Gwen: acharminghome.blogspot.com.
My Aunt Elaine: athomewithpurvail.blogspot.com
(Can someone help with the link issue; I clicked on insert link and it gives me the http:// to put in but then the link doesn't show up.)
I know, that's only three -- some may have done it before. I'll just leave it at that. (I need to learn how to insert a link.) Peace & blessings to you all! Tammy

Hi Tammy,
Thanks so much for your recent message. I actually update my blog at night after work (between 8 - 10pm) and I try not to stay up too late. Like you, I find browsing all the wonderful blogs addictive! I also need to have an orderly space (you know what they say, messy place = messy mind!). I like your 7 items above. I can definitely relate to # 2, 3, and 4. I procrastinate too, am definitely a nester, and haven't enjoyed speaking in front of groups. However, after going to Toastmasters for several years, I really began to enjoy it. If that's something you need to do, give Toastmasters a try.
Have a great day,
Sharon :-)

Tammy - there are so many of the truths you listed there that I can totally relate to...namely procrastination (I'm reading blog posts right now instead of working like I should be), and being disorganized. I don't like speaking in front of a large group either but luckily that doesn't happen very often. Thanks for sharing your list!

Tammy I will do that meme. I just did one, but we are all multifacited persons. When you do your link I think you need to put the address on your blog, go back over it and highlight it and then click on link. That is what Maria told me to do. Sometimes I will have to enter the http again and then after clicking on link it just comes up. Let me know.

Hi Tammy,
again thank you for stopping by.Actually I wanted to be th fitst to visit yesterday, but then, did you say PROCRASTINATION???????? well, to make a longstory short, was late from work, had to fix dinner, feed the dog, clear up, post my WW pics, walk the dog out and... that was it.
Thank you for letting us know a little more about you. I feel we are so similar in many respects... Working as a PA in a German Corporation, requires that I AM organized at all times and for this very reason I believe I'm totally the opposite at home. Do you disorganizaton could be a reaction to my working skills? Same goes for procrastination IMO. As I have to be fast, quickly responsive, pro-active, multifunctional, and, to say it in one word simply "perfect" at work, I'm just the opposite at home. How does all of that sound for an excuse??????

Hi Tammy,
again thank you for stopping by. Actually I wanted to be the fitst in visiting and posting a comment yesterday, but then, did you say PROCRASTINATION???????? well, to make a long story short, I was awfully late from work despit the fact that i was feeling very sick, had to fix dinner, feed the dog, clear up, post my WW pics, walk the dog out and... that was it... could no longer keep my eyes open. Thank God, I called-in sick today as I'm still feeling awful (my record is I havent's called in sick in the past 8 years!) and had time to recover and do some comment writing.

Loved learning more about you Tammy! A lot of your truths sound like me too. Probably a lot of us out there in reality. Definitely a homebody.and. Don't even ask me to speak in front of people because it is not going to happen. That is not for me! But I am a great behind the scenes person if I don't say so myself. lol

Hi Tammy~
to get the link thingy to work....when the http space comes up delete the "http" cuz the info you're gonna put in there already has the "http" and it just won't work with two of them in there. HTML is sooooo picky!
Hope this helps!

Hello, Tammy,
I am so enjoying getting to know you better! I can identify with not liking to speak before a large group and also about being a homebody. I love my home. It is a sanctuary for me, and I really enjoy my own company! Thank you for sharing and blessings to you, dear friend! Vicki p.s. Thank you so much for coming by for a visit. I enjoy your company.

WOW! Alot comments going on here. Nice to see everyone can relate to you in one way or the other. All I can say is, that you procrastinate very well and are the best organized at being disorganized:D I have one more to add.
8. I am an Oprah addict and need help.

Love ya!!!

Tammy, I just don't believe that you are disorganized...it's not possible! ;) And I don't believe that you don't give good presentations...your gifts are always beautiful! I wish I had the time to put things together like you do...I'd be giving gifts all the time too. It's so gratifying!!! You have such a good heart sweetie~
