Maybe Not Such a Good Idea

I wanted to start my summer holiday off on the right foot.
Grabbed the handmade water bottle holder I bought in Nepal last summer.
And headed out with Zack for a walk.
Walking path number 1.
Walking path number 2.
On the pavement, there was no relief from the heat.  But under a canopy of trees, there was a nice breeze.
This country needs more greening up.  It's amazing what a difference it makes.
But walking for 45 minutes in Kuwait in the summer is never, ever a good idea.

Hope you are having cool breezes in your corner of the world.

Hi Tammy!I hope you enjoyed your walk!
Definetely we need more greening up in Athens too!
Every day is getting hotter and hotter and makes difficult for me to study!
I hope you're having a great time,
Angeliki

I love it when you show us photos of the area. The trees look so pretty. I hope you did not over do it. Be careful out there in all that heat.

Blessings always

Hello 2,

It was 95 here SUN and the rest of the week has barely hit 70; from August weather to autumn! Today it keeps gettting darker and I fear it will rain...ON FLAG DAY! No flag flying outside my door today, it would get wet.

Well, Tammy, congratulations for attempting to get exercise by walking. I remember how burning hot it got in Arizona and I hated walking. Here it's lovely now but I'm still a slacker in the walk department. Love swimming, though, and do that several times a week. That counts, doesn't it? ha ha Susan

We have breezes but that are very hot and humid. Stay safe when you are walking in that heat.

tammy, i do like your water bottle cover, i remember seeing that recycled sari silk yarn before, i think thats what it is?

i think you need to come here for a holiday, we are in summer season and so its time for cool morning fog, it's lovely for walking on the beach or foothills. is there an indoor shopping mall thats airconditioned where you could walk instead? that heat sounds difficult. stay safe!

Oh Tammy I feel for you having to endure such heat. I am afraid I would be stuck indoors!!

Dearest Tammy,

Oh, when we work in our wood-garden it is always a lot cooler because of the shade of trees. And pavement or asphalt makes it even worse.
Why don't they plant more trees and install a sprinkler system as they have water available. It would make such a difference! They should learn from the Israelis who made the dessert bloom...
Love to you and hope you keep enjoying your walks, at least the stretches with some green!

LOL! The breeze here is too cool. I wish it was more heat here and you wish the opposite over there.

Nice shots and interesting to see a boat on the street. :)

Have a great weekend Tammy!

I went to a huge arbotoreum today to get some great photos for Friday's Shoot My Town and it was hot but there was shade all around. I loved the day. Be safe in the sun.

Definitely cool in my corner of the world now that it is winter -Yay.

Enjoy the early morning walks, I used to be up before the sun when I lived in Queensland where summer comes with high humidity.

Have a lovely break.

I'm sure it'a a lot worse that the summer heat waves we get here in the midwest. And those are bad enough. Just be careful when you walk outside in those temps.

You are such an inspiration! I used to walk every day up North. I would walk in way below zero weather but I can't take the heat and it just zaps me for the rest of the day and my black dogs don't like it much either! LOL! Be careful out there!
