I didn't get up extra early today so thought seriously about foregoing my morning walk.
According to global obesity rates in 2010, Kuwait and the United States rated in the top 10. Kuwait rates in the top 10 for countries with a high rate of diabetes. And the Middle East has the highest rate of Vitamin D deficiency in the world. Staying healthy and active is very important at any age, but even moreso as we get older.A bit of humidity in the air actually made the walk easier. Plus every time I head out, I go a different way so that I get a different view. Watermelons were being sold out of the back of this truck.
Water fountains in different designs can be found all around the country. Much needed for the guys who are working to clean the streets each and every day.
I always feel energized after my walks; ready for the day ahead, whatever it may hold.

Glad to see you are still walking.. Bill and I try to do a nightly walk when we can. Warm hugs to all
All that sunshine, and Vitamin D deficiency? Go figure.
I can't imagine how much hard work it must take to keep things so spick-and-span there, especially with the dust storms!
It's nice to see the bougainvillea. (Reminds me of my California roots.)
those statistics are scary. good for you tammy, it is so important. i love seeing these views of where you live. thank you for sharing here.
It's so interesting to see the sights along your route. Beautiful bougainvillea!!
Ι was taking ballet lessons for 8 years in the past, then took 1,5 year of basketball training and then spent almost a month at the gym! I stopped the exercise when I entried University because of lack of time, but chose to take long walks in order to somehow stay fit. It's been a year I bought a matress, exercise weights ,some exercise tubes and do e.g crunches, and other execises my bf shows me, since he has a great experience on that part! Not daily, but it's something!
:-)Keep up the walking!!!:-)
P.S. We have elections today. Critical day
Lots of kisses,

I love the watermelon in the truck and of course the palm trees.
Pretty. I like the palm trees...don't see many of them around here. :-)
so much to take in when I come to visit...interesting that you like the humidity LOL...see my other complaining comment ;)
I heard the stats for how obese too many in the US are and how they are taking up way more than their share of the global food ...staggering and dismaying
I'd better water a few things in the garden before the heat sets in
oxo
Keep talking girlfriend...you almost have me convinced! LOL! Although I do wear a pedometer and just working inside and outside on the landscaping I'm doing I'm averaging 5,000 to 6,000 steps a day but I think you're supposed to do 10,000 a day. My problem is the walk zaps me and drains my energy. Trust me, if it energized me I'd be out the door! LOL!
I eat alot of water melon during summer. It´s so refreshing!
I had absolutely no idea that Kuwait of all countries do have problem with obesity. :o
You are so strong making it a habit to go and walk in the heat.
I wish you could send just a little heat to us so make it a good balance. We only have 10 C plus and it´s Midsummer. I feel dissapointed at the weather this summer. Hopefully july and august will be much better...
Peace and blessings!
