Yesterday Barbina at Little Things Made with Love passed the sunshine award my way with 10 questions to answer.
1. Favorite animal: The elephant. We've had the privilege of interacting with elephants in Sri Lanka, India and Nepal. They are smart, gentle, hard working, amazing animals!2. Favorite number: #7 Don't know why. Wikipedia provides all sorts of useful (and not so useful) information. Who knew there was so much to be said about a number!
3. Favorite non-alcoholic drink: Water is my main beverage of choice. With the heat we have to endure, there's nothing better than a big glass of ice cold water. (Although a beer would be nice, too.)
4. Facebook or Twitter: Neither.
5. My passion: Spreading joy. A smile. A gift. A hug when needed. A helping hand. A handmade gift. Homemade goodies. It is the simple things that mean the most.
6. Getting or giving: Definitely giving. Especially when least expected.
7. Favorite pattern: Way too many to choose from. Anything quick and easy that doesn't require a lot of concentration. Sometimes it's just nice to make things up as you go along.
8. Favorite day of the week: Saturday as it is the one day without obligation. The one day I can choose to do as I please.
9. Favorite flower: I am very happy that my moss roses are able to survive each and ever year in this desert country.
10. Favorite country: Too hard to choose. We've been to so many and each has something unique and wonderful to offer. My favorite quote is "An old friend met in a far country is like rain after drought." (Chinese proverb)
My friend Rizwana in Sri Lanka.

Woo hoo! Congratulations, Tammy. Vacation days here you come! Seems that Jingles is nonplussed about the news. Cats take things calmly. Ha! Hope your free time is all you hope it to be. You deserve the break! Susan
Happy Sunshine Day to you!! Loved reading your answers.
It is pretty here today, we had a shower so I'm off to mow the yard before it gets dry and dusty!

Congrats on your award Tammy. :)
Hooray school is out. I am happy for everyone especially the teachers when the school year ends. Love the moss roses myself. Need little attention even in dry weather.

Dearest Tammy,
Congrats with your sunshine award! That came just timely for your vacation.
You are so right on 'giving' and when it's least expected.
We did surprise our friends in Miami when we came down the 600 miles (1,000 km) to stay at the Hyatt House and it creates happiness. That lasts even long after the visit is over with.
Enjoy your summer vacation.
Love to you,
Mariette
Hi Tammy,
Lucky you on vacation! Are you traveling again? Great post - I love #5, your blog is definitely all about that. Jingles does not know how you answered #1 does he? Just in case he gets jealous! I love elephants too - I feel so bad when I read about their diminishing numbers; they are wonderful creatures.
Enjoy your upcoming vacation!
Sharon :-)
Hi Tammy congrats on the award and thanks so much for passing it to me, I really appreciate it and will blog about it soon. Excited! We still have 2 weeks to go before the summer holidays start. We are leaving for vacation back to Malaysia early August. I can't believe I'm still around for the whole month of July, wish me luck! Anyway, I wish you a wonderful vacation.
xoxo
OMG I LOVE the elephant pic! Congratulations on the award - A Lovely Mess also passed it over to me - and all thanks to you :)
Interesting to read, and knowing you through your blog, I'm not too surprised at your answers, especially the giving part. You seem to be a kind and caring person. Enjoy the summer holidays!
Tammy, thanks so much for the very sunny award. I loved finding out all these fun things about you.
Have a wonderful day,
Meredith
Thank you Tammy!!!
Now we know a little more about you! :)
In a meditation I made when I did Course in Miracles many many years ago I met the Elephant when visualizing "my soul-animal". I collect elephants since then.
Maybe I´ll show them soon on my blog.
I always say "Water is life!" when I drink water. I love it too. :)
Happy weekend 2 U!
