Christmas Day

My first gift today was opening up our bedroom curtains to find a merry morning moon right outside the window.
And on the other side of the house was gift number two ... a beautiful rising sun.
A quiet day since my husband was at work.  Tuesday is the middle of the work week in our corner of the world.
Just me and Jingles hanging out since neither of our boys ventured this way for the holidays.
Such gorgeous weather for a walk.
 I left some hanging hearts.
Humming Christmas carols as I enjoyed this glorious day.
(The charm bracelet above was a gift from a friend.)
"The true spirit of Christmas is love."

Hope you're having a merry day!

Thank you for your Christmas greeting Tammy - sending blessing your way for now and the coming year.
I know it's hard to have the boys so far away - hoping they are well and happy and that they stay in touch with you.
The hearts are adorable - you are so thoughtful.
Hugs - Mary

Dearest Tammy,
That was a perfect Christmas Day and we all should realize the gift of the sun, warmth and the moon.
We too had a sunny day and rather mild with 16˚C and Pieter did go for a short bike run.
I'm feeling rather tired, even took a nap this afternoon. Guess the past couple of months with work as an English tutor at the local Technical College, renovations etc. etc. and very busy with two choirs, has caused me to feel worn out.
Looking forward to longer days and to normal routine!
Sending you hugs,
Mariette

Nice moon and sun pictures, Tammy! I woke to see the moon through treetops before dawn this morning - and with rings around the moon! I just had time to take a picture before it vanished completely.
Jingles looks so cozy :) Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Wishing you and your family a very merry Christmas. It's been a different Christmas here with only Eleanor at home, how things change once your children have left the nest.

Christmas sure is different once your children are grown and gone, isn't it? I hope you enjoyed your day, anyway. xoxo

I am sure that your hanging hearts bring much joy to the people that discover them. I have been going to do the painted rock thing, but so far have only painted a couple :) I love these small ways for touching the hearts of strangers. You never know who is out there that needs a touch of love to turn their day around.
God bless you,
Connie :)

Christmas Greetings dear Tammy.
Your post is full of "all is calm and all is bright".
How kind you are to crochet the sweet red hearts and leave them on your walk for others to find!
You will miss the boys and I know they will be missing you and their Dad at this time as well.
Jingles looks just the same, I'm sure he's a faithful friend for you.
Take care
Warm hugs

What a lovely view and window you have. Jingles is so cute with the wreath in the background and a name like 'Jingles'. So sorry the boys couldn't make it home. I've spent every Christmas alone for the past 13 years but I don't mind.....I am never alone as I have my faith and I truly enjoy my own company and my girls plus, I couldn't afford to entertain all of them....it's too much for me to do all that anymore so it's just as well. I really feel Christmas should be in your heart every day...not just on Christmas. You live that way too as evidenced by the beautiful hearts you leave for strangers to enjoy and to ponder on the precious gift of love. I wish you and your family the best the new year has to offer!

Tammy - belated Merry Christmas! I took a break from blogging for a week or so, and now it's catch-up time! I am glad that you found ways to enjoy your Christmas day even though the boys stayed in the US and your hubby was working. I am not the least bit surprised that you spread some joy by leaving hearts around town!
