Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life.

Today has been a blustery, cloudy, rainy, thunder and lightning kinda day.
Today has been a blustery, cloudy, rainy, thunder and lightning kinda day.
The perfect day for a big bowl of comforting soup.
Tea with homemade cookies.
And a new project on the hook.
The Mulberry Shawl.
The pattern is a freebie found on Fiber Flux ... Adventures in Stitching
I used a J hook, rather than the K it called for, so am not getting the 16 inches across that I should. I'm thinking maybe to start over and just make a scarf with the pattern, rather than a shawl.

Soup is perfect for rainy, stormy days. Your oatmeal raisin cookies look delicious with your tea, too. And I love the soft, earthy, green and brown yarn you are using for your scarf.
Oh, I love the yarn you are using...I think the shawl is cute...it would be nice to use while you are curled up on the sofa crocheting. :)
I love rainy days...the sound of rain is so relaxing...and the Earth just seems to come alive after a good rain.
Blessings always
Hi Tammy,
I love the colors in your latest project. Lovely!
I like occasional rainy days but particularly, rainy nights where I'm all comfy-cozy tucked in at home. ♥
It's sunny blue skies here today with a temperature of 35 degrees. Looking forward to walking soon on my lunch. :) Hope you have a great remainder of the week.

Hi Tammy! We have lots of rain here in Oregon! But that's why it's green, I guess. I look forward to seeing your scarf when it's finished.. looks like a good start!
((hugs)), Teresa :-)
I really like the doily's under your cup and plate so sweet
Glad to know things are fine at your place...that yarn you are using for the scarf is a Turkish one? it looks very very nice in scarf or shawl. i also liked the coasters, did you crochet them with cotton thread?so many questions :)
Have a nice day ahead, Tammy!
Rain, oh how seet it would be to see some of that. We are still in an extreme drought here. Save some to water your inside plants. :)
Hi Tammy, It's been a dark, dreary, cold and rainy day here in New England. But I tried to make the best of it.
On days like this, it's important to make our own sunshine!
Take care, Tammy. Your soup and dessert look yummy. Susan
I bet you are enjoying your change in weather. Love stormy days when I can be inside. Can you just add a few more stitches or repeats to the pattern to make it wider?
Hugs,
Meredith
Hi Tammy...we live so far apart, but seem to be doing the same things.
I have a big pot homemade minstrone soup on the stove, just had cookies and coffee, and painted a picture for my Creative Tuesday Meme. Life is so fun and so full of blessings.
I enjoy those rainy, windy days when I can bunker down inside and enjoy warm soup and yummy treats. I love the look of that yarn you're using, such pretty colours. Enjoy your week Tammy I hope it's a wonderful one.
I love the colors in the yarn you're using - and the soup looks delicious. Have a great day. :)
Rain is so very refreshing and nourishing. Soup and cookies and tea are a warm comfort in cold weather. Beautiful yarn and scarf/shawl you are crocheting. Blessings...
A cozy rainy day!! Love your coasters and scarf!! ;) xo Heather
Your soup looks delicious. What kind is it...lentil?
Hi Tammy,
We had thunder and lightening here yesterday, so must have been having similar weather.
The soup, tea and cookies, look like good comfort food.
Love the earthy tones in your crocheting.
Happy week
hugs
Carolyn
Rained here today too.......everywhere now covered with wet leaves as they are falling fast. I also made soup today, looking very much like your version - lentils and veggies etc. Nice to have soup on a damp day,,,,in fact any day.
Hugs - Mary
Just checking in after a break and it looks like all is well....soup, cookies and rain. Lot's of comfort here..I can always count on a visit with you to be such. :-)
Dearest Tammy,
Thanks for posting about my Giveaway!
Rain and thunder must be very rare for you to witness in your part of the world. But it sure brings much needed life to trees, plants and humans.
Funny, I am not used to the alphabet letters of crochet hooks, only mm of thickness. It is at times hard to get the desired measurements.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
I always seem to take a deep breath and let out a satisfied sigh when I visit you, Tammy. Look forward to seeing your shawl or scarf. blessings ~ tanna
